Amazing and delicious. The milkshake comes with some snacky topping depending on your flavor, mine also came with edible cookie dough (I got Cookie Monster) and you get to keep the jar! I’d definitely go again and personally $22 isn’t ideal but totally worth it!!! Theres cheaper options as well. We also got a chocolate cone!! Again amazing and delicious.

I really don't understand the hatred for this place and the prices. This is a novelty dessert shop, and one order of these can serve 2-3 people.

Pros:
• Friendly Staff
• Creative ice cream
• Big portions

Cons:
• Parking

The Yard is an ice cream shop with a flair for the dramatic, featuring artful milkshakes and neat decor. The presentation of each shake is Instagram-worthy, making it a popular spot for capturing that perfect shot.

However, the prices are quite steep which makes it more of an occasional treat rather than a frequent stop for a quick shake. While the shakes are visually impressive, the high cost is a drawback and with many high quality local ice creameries I'd hope for the flavor to bring something unique to the table but it's average.

Very interesting creations... was very good. Enjoyed watching our milkshakes being made them eating them.

I recently indulged in a decadent Strawberries and Cream milkshake at The Yard Milkshake Bar. It was a masterpiece! Piled high with whipped cream, served with a slice of cheesecake, and drizzled with strawberry sauce, it was a true treat. I thoroughly enjoyed every spoonful.
I highly recommend taking your kids or family here. They have an extensive menu with a huge variety of flavors and options to choose from. The Yard Milkshake Bar is also located in a very nice area of Vancouver, Washington, making it a great spot for a sweet treat after exploring the city.

This is a state fair gimmick- that’s what you're paying for.
Sugar & hydrogenated oils in sprinkle, kid-cereal, day-old cookie/cake form. Plenty of folks are suckered in, then complain about getting ripped off.
Cold Stone has more or less the same business model but with way worse quality ice cream. At least these guys here use blue bell which is a decent national brand.
To avoid being gouged, stick to plain ice cream in a cup or buy a pint- just not one in a fancy glass jar unless you love overpaying for packaging! Curiously enough they actually don’t have a regular paper pint container; you have to trust the guy when he tells you that 1 pint = 3 scoops or 0.473 liters, etc. No way to verify how honest they are.
One pint with no toppings/bells/whistles will cost you over $10 by the way, so buyer beware. This is excessive even by NYC and SF standards. Surely they could reconsider some of their price points especially for customers who want a simple pint to-go (not one in a fancy glass jar), and won’t be taking up employees' time with Metformin-worthy creations loaded with fruit-loops, gummy bears, cheesecake slices, bacon wrapped twinkies, etc.
Finally, it’s important to know that “locally sourced” can mean a number of things: I can go to a nearby Safeway, buy their day-old baked goods and I technically “sourced them locally” 😉😉
If you’re staying at a nearby hotel and don’t have a rental car, this place is an OK option for a quick ice cream scoop. If you’re able to venture out further, please visit Ice Cream Renaissance on Main Street in Vancouver, WA. They actually make their ice cream in-house and it’s superb.

I was astounded
4 ice creams 80+
You can't see the menu the glare is horrible
Children are sad because they can't see and when one child gets a special treat and the other didn't because they can't see and cry so you ask for one and they want 2.25 for a partial sugar stick it's horrible what was suppose to be delightful experience was over shadowed by sun glare (darken your windows instead of digital screens put up signs
Because this this is horrible
This was the third time we took the grands. And each time the digital screen was extremely difficult to navigate

Im sad to say this is no longer a pocket friendly outing. If we had taken the whole family it would have been a financial travesty.

It was just ok. You walk in and are gobsmacked by the prices, 20 bucks for a shake, or 17 for a bowl. They look awesome, but that's it, save your money, it had zero quality on my opinion, ice cream that tasted like Walmart brand, and that terrible thick non dairy whipped cream......no thanks, 38 bucks for basically two scoops of cruddy ice cream and toppings

Here's my take on the Yard. I went there a few days ago ---the 2nd time. First time was shortly after they opened and the experience then was not good.
I decided to try them again.
I ordered the Smores milkshake.
The GOOD--expertly made shake by a helpful milkshake crafter. The milkshake itself tasted good , not great but decent.
Vibes in the Yard were good and of course the location along the waterfront was excellent.
the NOT-SO GOOD--The Smores chocolate/ graham /marshmallow Topper did not taste good. It tasted old, stale and after 1 bite , I actually threw the Smores Topper away . The ice cream used is Hershey's ice cream. Just OK--a bit sweet and a little chalky. Not my favorite by any means. Definitely NOT premium ice cream.
The PRICE--A bit pricey is an understatement. $24.00 for 1 milkshake---tip included. I do not mind paying a higher price for a premium product....called value for money spent. This experience definitely did not qualify for value in my book.
Probably will not be back any time soon .

Terrible quality for crazy prices. All the fancy toppings were cheap and tasted bad, even the base milkshake was somehow bland besides being super sweet. We paid $28 for one specialty shake (with a slice of cheesecake added on) and threw away about a third of it. Staff was very friendly and helpful though.
