Wonderful food and martinis and great service from Duke. Sat on the patio overlooking the Columbia River - beautiful setting.
Inferior food with a big price tag. I ordered the steak salad and was served a very tough steak on top of a bag of greens. My husband had the crab mac and cheese, and the pasta was not done. They were out of all gluten free buns and breads and served my daughters sandwich on lettuce. Normally you would wrap it in the lettuce, but this was served in two flimsy pieces of lettuce, necessitating using a fork and knife to eat it. The food quality overall is just not worth the prices they are charging.
We went to celebrate my husband‘s birthday. The host was very accommodating. We had a nice table overlooking the river. The food was excellent and so was the waiter. It was really an overall wonderful evening. We will definitely be back.
Fish and chips was mostly batter. My dining companions, brussels sprouts had to be sent back, and came back not much better. Somewhat disappointed.
The hostess was very accommodating when we asked for a different table than the one she initially indicated. There was a noisy party very nearby and we preferred a quieter location. With PDX just across the river, planes taking off cannot be avoided, and we knew this going in. The good food, river views, and pleasant service made it an enjoyable enough experience. My friend was treating for lunch, including the tip, so when her tip was a bit meager by my more generous standards, I told myself I'd look for our server next week when I have plans to be at Twigs again, and will make up the difference then. Fingers crossed she'll be there that day. We made reservations online and, when prompted, reported that we would be celebrating a birthday. This detail was never mentioned by staff but it wasn't a big enough issue that it warranted a big deal being made of it. We've had plenty of birthdays. The two younger women and their delightful dog at the next table made our time there even better. I love it that dogs are welcome on the patio and a water bowl is typically brought by the server to acknowledge the canine customer. This is at least partly what keeps bringing me back.
They clearly were not ready to receive those of us with reservations at the opening of the restaurant. There was a wait for seating, a long wait at the table before drink order, even longer to receive drinks. My Bloody Mary was absent vodka, with watered down mixer and flavorless. My avocado bacon Benedict was soggy, flavorless, with cold, dripping wet overcooked poached eggs. Not worth the effort of booking the reservation, parking, and cost. Never again.
We were greeted and sat at a table outside right away. The staff were friendly, courteous and very attentive. The food was good; and because we were there at an early hour on a Wednesday, the noise level was moderate. The music was a little loud; but would have been appropriate for a busy restaurant crowd. The prices were good and food was even better. We'll definitely go back.
Ordered a salad which was $21 and then added chicken Which was an extra $8..... An expensive salad for what you got. I was still hungry!
We go here for nice dinners, but also just for some flatbread pizza and a few beverage's, like we did Sunday evening. The pizzas are great. A nice casual evening.
Very happy with our lunch at Twigs. The service was great and the food was very good. Had a great view of the river. Only slight complaint was waiting to sit. There were seats available, but we had to wait. It appeared to be service availability and the server we had happened to hear the problem and she said she would take care of us and she did a wonderful job.

For $50 I would expect much more out of a rib eye. The potatoes were really cold and the steak was marginal at best. The calamari was a pile of batter and a tiny portion. I don't normally write bad reviews but for the price I would have thought it would have been MUCH better. Also, I realize they were busy but the waitress never came back to check on us after the food was served and we would have ordered more drinks. Not impressed although the atmosphere was amazing.
Ordered a chicken, bacon aioli sandwich. Chicken was so dry and overcooked I wasn’t able to eat it. Wanting to let the waitress know, she said “we can’t give me a credit but would let the chef know. Wasn’t looking for a credit but another Chicken sandwich. Also the wait time on everything was extremely slow. Positive, the interior and exterior are very nice. Won’t be going back.
I ordered the roasted pecan ceaser salad there was no dressing to be found on wilted romaine lettuce the pecans when I found them where chopped so small about the size off a pencil lead with about 15 of that size about 1 pecan total. My wife had the seafood cakes that looked like pancakes gone wrong and they were burnt black she ate part of one and left the rest. We will not be back this was the worst expensive meals we have ever had. And just so you know this only the 2nd food review I have ever written but felt I must. FOOD SO WRONG!
Service was great, but the smash burger with brisket was dry and the fries were lukewarm. This is not my first time to Twigs, and had better food before. Sandwiched within ciabatta bread, the burger, brisket slices and onion rings were all overcooked. The onion rings looked as though they were double-fried and nearly burned and was mostly batter (with a super thin slice of onion that barely survived the fry process). I asked for a side of BBQ sauce hoping that it would add some moisture, but the sandwich was way too dry. Think of reheating a steak in the microwave and how dry the meat comes out. Also there was barely any mayo inside—just a small blob that wasn't even spread across the bread. That's what this sandwich was like. Feedback was given to the server who appreciated the honesty. I didn't finish the sandwich it was so dry. I would not recommend this sandwich. I expect a lot better food for a $21 sandwich.
Beautiful, outdoor seating by the water. Stunningly unbeatable view. The wait staff is top tier. Such a warm and genuine smile— she made the meal even more enjoyable! Will be purchasing a gift card for my sis and her hubby, so they can experience this venue the next time they're in town. And those home fries— incredible! Five Stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
