Always fun. It's not a place for fussy foodies but they don't pretend to be.

Underbar brings fun and uniqueness that Vancouver hasn't seen. The fun and cozy vibe the bar brings can help to improve the night. Whether looking small get together on a Tuesday night or a high energy weekend drag show. Underbar is sure to bring a wonderful twist to your night.

Went there on mothers day for the first time. Wow! Completely blown away. Little uncomfortable at first, but the host was welcoming right away. Atmosphere was electric, cant wait to go back...

Great show! Great atmosphere. It's too bad they don't have anything healthy on their menu. I guess we eat before we go! We will be back for the entertainment.

If you are gay and like men dressing up like women go for it but not a fan

I love this place. Only found it in August but I've been coming at least once a month since. They have hilarious and awesome live shows, but I'm especially fond of their karaoke. Sabrina is an awesome host, she'll work with you to try to find the version of a song you want to sing, and if you happen to be out of the bar when she calls your name, she'll work with you to fit you back into the rotation. The bartenders are all very friendly as well, and the food and drinks are great!

Fabulous place for a night out!

The bar and overall vibe is amazing, the bartenders are great!! Finn is amazing, he makes the whole vibe. The girl Sabrina who runs karaoke though really kills it for me. She doesn’t go in order of who signed up and ended up letting 2 people plus *herself* in front of me and I had to leave before my song bc of it. Idk it’s a 10/10 otherwise but she always makes karaoke a bad experience personally, this isn’t a solitary experience. It would be 5 stars otherwise though, genuinely a great bar !!

The area is just small can be overcrowded. But overall service was good and very kind during the show 🩵

Relaxed and good energy. Just a friendly, non-pushy, community watering hole.

Went to a comedy show here and it was great! The place was packed and it was a fun show. Would definitely go back for more events.

Quiet on an early Friday evening. Good beer, not many food choices.

Such a disappointment! My wife and I had been wanting to check out this Vancouver gay bar for ages and finally made it in for a pre-dinner drink. Awkwardly, it was comedy night. I won’t get into the weirdness of the “comedy” but what I really want to address as someone in hospitality was the rudeness we encountered at the bar. We grabbed a couple open spots and the bartender, clearly overwhelmed didn’t acknowledge us. My wife mentioned the lack of greeting and the bartender barked at us, “are you guys okay”? Well, no we aren’t “okay”. It’s our first time here and you didn’t even say hello. You acted like we were putting you out by existing. Doubt we will be back, but the vodka soda was a vodka soda and the other guy managed to pour a draft IPA after being asked at least 5 times. Bravo guys.

I was very nervous when we walked in party of 4 and there was no seating but we got settled in and it was an awesome show. Any place with banana bread will always get 5 stars from me! The comedy show was awesome!

Queer-friendly locale with tasty drinks and bartenders. Karaoke most nights but always a blast!
