This place is closed permanently and it just closed down a few weeks ago and going to be turning into something else this place was not even open for a yr and it is already closed down this place was open for just only like 8 months and it used to he an IZZY PIZZA place and then it turned into this tap room and I ate here like a week or two after it opened and while eating there I had mentioned to my mom that I wiukd he surprised if thid place lasted a year being open and I was so right.I grew up in the restaurant business as both of my parents own restaurants and they have ever since I was born in fact they opened their first one the year I was born and my parents are still in business and they do very well so I kno a thing or two a out the restaurant business and I am pretty good at knowing if a place is going to kast or not I grew up in it and it is all that I kno well the restaurant business and industry and also real estate are the two things that I kno very well and am in real estate as well.I qm glad that I was right now my mom owes me a nice dinner becsuee I bet her under a yr and she said a yr n a half and I said if I am right you have to take me out to dinner at portland city grill snd she agreed lmfao.

Food is great, always a decent crowd even during lunch which can put some pressure on the service times but its not terrible. Even picky eaters and drinkers will have no issue with the variety offered.

The service and building was good I orderd an elk burger and asked medium rare how elk should be cooked and it was well done like bone dry the ruined that burger so bad I couldn't even eat it so I left .

Spur of the moment stop to wait out traffic. Pretzels with beer cheese were fantastic. My husband loved his Rueben. My son loved his elk/beef burger. My beet salad had few ingredients so, while fresh, it didn't impress. Service was good. My kids loved playing the oversized connect 4 and tic-tac-toe on the wall. I really enjoyed the rootbeer on tap. Very vanilla forward. Plenty of parking. Easy access on/off I5. We actually arrived in our truck pulling a 5th wheel and were able to park on the street.

Food was better than expected. Get the corn dog! Beer selection on point and great service. Not much more to ask for. Clean and great music today ( Jimmy Hendrix mix). Will be back.

Look, as a homegrown Vancouverite I really miss Izzy's, but if something had to replace it, I'm glad it's Wheelhouse Taproom! The service was great, the interior is very sleek, the food and drinks came to us quickly, and were so delicious! Very pleased with our experience here and will definitely be returning :) Thank you!

We have visited Wheelhouse half a dozen times since January. The food and service are always wonderful. Our 8 year old twins love going for the food and the games. The first couple times we went we didn’t realize they had a table of games to play. Ever since finding that our kids are constantly asking to go back!Wheelhouse is becoming a regular in our dining out rotation.Kid-friendliness: Lots of family games to play and a great kid menu section.

First time in overall it was ok. Not much on the menu for Sunday brunch. We were going to wait until menu change over. But one of the severs behind the bar was cut a sandwich with bare hands to put on a drink. That was a big turn off. So we decided not to stay for lunch.Food safety is priority. You should always wear gloves when handling cooked products. The staff was very friendly.

Great spot for beverages—their bartender is a wizard with the cocktails, and they got a wide selection of local craft beers. Their customer service was great for how busy it was then, I came here for happy hour and it was packed. My server was all over place but made sure my table got everything we needed. The onion rings were cooked perfectly, but, my chicken wings wasn’t cooked thoroughly enough and had to be sent back. I wasn’t too thrilled about getting served raw chicken but received a new order—they were okay, nothing special. I’d come back for their drinks but eat before I go.

My husband and I have given tbis local place 3 tries. First time my burger was raw when asked for well done, the server was awesome about this and replaced it with another burger that was so burnt. He gave me a 5$ off for next visit when honestly it should have been refunded. We gave it a second try and went to mothers day brunch today and I was so excited to have mimosas and brunch. I ordered the tomato basil hollandaise poached egg. The tomato basil relish and sauce was so cold. The eggs were hardboiled not poached. I ate or anyway decided to not ever wat there again especially since three times Ina row the food was wrong or horrible or both and the prices are alot higher than Portland food trucks are any better food. I teally wanted this place to workout since we are so close but for the price rhe food should not be this quality! Also Big Problem on the way out my husband noticed the young men cooking on the kitchen with no hairnets or gloves just not okay!! Come on that's not basic food safety practice.

First time in young lady with Super curly was beyond rude. Not a person who should be greeting guests. Great food both times. 2nd time around Trinity was our server. She is fantastic. Super friendly, very helpful. She is a keeper !! Great service thank you Trinity.

I've had really good food here. Pulled pork & Cubano San which es were really good with either sweet potato fries or regular. My boyfriend likes their return if the Mac. Good beer list. And I love their speciality mixology drinks they change it up weekly.
