Food was fresh cooked to perfection and served hot. Service was very quick and server noticed when we needed plates taken away and was super attentive to next steps in dining. Friendly. A bit loud seated at the bar but that is expected. Loved this place and will recommend and come back.

Wife and I have been going to both spring and fall release in Walla Walla for over 10yrs now. Hattaway's on Alder has been a stop 4 of the last 5 years. Their 30oz+ ribeye steak is one of the best steaks you'll ever eat in Washington.

'You can come sit at the bar if you want.' Gee, thanks so much. Here from out of town on spring release weekend, totally cancelled out our previous great experience here.

Has quickly become one of our favorite places for dinner. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. The menu has several unique takes on southern style food but with a unique and creative take. I love their celery parmesan salad and shrimp fried rice. Cocktails and drinks are a must.

The fries are really good, the duck is great, but the ribeye had me almost divorced as the wife kept stealing it!! The smoked flavor, is soooooo tasty.
We had the bread pudding which was really good too, if you like sweet grab it.
The drinks were tasty as well.
This was the first fancy place we have gone to, and I'm happy to say nothing sucked except the steak knives.

We celebrated my birthday at Hattaway's and had such a fantastic evening on the patio. The vibes were chill with a relaxed volume on the stereo.
The food and drinks were delicious. I was pleased with the spirits offered and every plate was high quality. We got generous tuna crackers for an app, my beau had the steelhead and I ordered the chicken and grits. Chef's kiss, it'd be dangerous for me to live nearby because I could eat that chicken every day. For dessert we ordered the bread pudding as well as the butterscotch pudding - both perfectly balanced and not too sweet.
The service was very friendly and unobtrusive. She gave us both some complimentary champagne to go with our desserts, on the house, for the birthday celebration. So nice!
We had a great time and highly recommend coming to Hattaway's while in Walla Walla.
