Red Monkey Downtown offers a spacious and cozy atmosphere with funky decor and a variety of food options, including local beers on tap and happy hour deals. The menu features popular dishes like blue collar nachos and davinci rolls, as well as a scaled-down lunch menu available from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. Customers can enjoy meals in the restaurant or take them to-go. The restaurant is dog-friendly and has outdoor seating in the shade, though table arrangements may be limited by management policy. The atmosphere is family-friendly, making it a great spot for families, friends, or dates. While the food is consistently delicious, with favorites like hand-battered fish tacos, the smokin' mac, and brisket sandwiches, some customers have noted that service can be slow, especially when not busy. Many appreciate the great gluten-free options and the knowledgeable staff regarding allergies. Overall, Red Monkey Downtown is a reliable choice with a chill vibe and excellent service, but some flexibility may be needed regarding wait times. The place also features a merchandise section and offers a great selection of Bloody Marys, adding to its charm.
