Delicious flavorful espresso. Nice balance of acidity and bold expression of the roast. Steamed milk had a great silky texture. Great ratio of milk to espresso in the cortado. I will come here every morning I’m in Walla Walla.

We are sitting in the lobby of the Super 8 rather than in our Marcus Whitman suite. The hotel was evacuated because of something bad- and we are waiting for them to deal with the bad situation. Clearly they have no plan for something like this happening. It is a real muddle. So I recommend steering clear of the hotel. It will be interesting to see if they make this good.

Beautiful hotel! The decor is just stunning in the lobby. Rooms are very clean and comfortable although the room we had this time was tight. It is centrally located so easy to walk to restaurants and shops. Best Breakfast as well. Well prepared, good ingredients and great service.

This is a nice looking property on both the outside and interior, but it has terrible management. I arrived as part of a large group. The hotel management knew the group’s arrival time but, upon arrival, the check in was so chaotic that I left and took my car to be washed so the line would go down. Dinner was an even worse experience. The bar was staffed by only woman and it was her first day on the job. No training g, no experience chaos. The buffet food service was equally bad. Amazingly, they ran out of meat and fish leaving about 1/3 of the group with only vegetables. There was no one in charge. It was an embarrassingly poor performance from what should be a premier property.

We have stayed here many times, for many reasons. The cleanliness is top notch! I'm a stickler for clean hotel rooms. The beds are so comfortable! We always get a tower suite and once you do, you will always get one too! Location is amazing! So many tasting rooms and restaurants in walking distance. Several tasting rooms right on site! L'ecole, Locati and a few others, as well as a coffee bar w/ barista. The hotel restaurant for breakfast and dinner is great. The chefs table is fun & delicious, I highly recommend it! There is road noise, to be expected in the middle of town, also the garbage trucks start early Friday am, so don't sleep with your window open. A highly recommend this hotel!

Our go to for Walla Walla wine trips. We’ve stayed many times over the years. Now it is under new management. I was so disappointed with the breakfast. It is no longer part of the price of the room, no longer a buffet, and frankly, not very good. Very sad to see this change. They give a $15 a day voucher per ROOM, and just the coffee was $4 a cup. Very expensive breakfast there. You would be hard put to keep to $15 a person, let alone a room. However, we probably will not be back because of the new $15 amenity charge which was suppose to be for breakfast, Wi-Fi, parking and airport transfers. Note that breakfast is no longer included with the room, so this was very false. You also pay sales tax on the $15. They get you coming and going. They should just add this to the room rate and call it good.

Super cute coffee shop, tucked into the lobby of the hotel. Very friendly barista, who is a local business owner.

We have stayed at the Marcus Whitman hotel many times and always considered it an indulgent treat until our last visit. The new management has taken a locally-owned hotel focused on excellent customer care and replaced it with an impersonal hotel that has hidden fees and terrible customer service. First, when you book on the phone, you will likely speak with a booking representative who is unfamiliar with the property rather than someone at the front desk. They will explain to you that breakfast is included and vaguely describe an amenity fee of $15 that is included in the cost of your room. Don't be fooled. This fee is added on top of the listed nightly rate. You will receive a $15 coupon that can be applied to breakfast the following morning, but you will pay the fee whether you have breakfast or not. You cannot use the coupon at any other time (e.g., happy hour or dinner). If you choose to use the coupon, it will not cover the cost of breakfast and a cup of coffee for one person. When we were there, the wait was so prohibitively long we didn't stay. Second, I am a wheelchair user and require a roll-in shower. The person helping me with the reservation told me I was booking an accessible room with a roll-in shower, but in fact, there was 1.5' lip around the shower which prevented me from being able to transfer to the shower bench safely or access the shower wand. When I brought this to the front desk's attention, they were not able to do anything but apologize. I asked to speak to the management and was told they would not adjust the price of the room even though their call center gave me incorrect information that prevented me from being able to take a shower. In sum, we paid for a room that was not as described, a shower that I could not use, a mandatory $15 charge for a breakfast we did not eat, and management that did not take responsibility for an error their call center made. We loved the old Marcus Whitman but we will not be returning to the new Marcus Whitman.

We stayed at the Marcus Whitman Hotel for 2 nights for my husband’s 77 birthday. We were made to wait for an hour to check in because at check-in the staff did not check which elevator we used. Our elevator was working. The dining room was not able to seat us for breakfast for an hour on our second morning.then, we finally got coffee. It took another hour to receive our food. Definitely not acceptable. When we returned to our room we were locked out

We came to Walla Walla with friends from out of state to taste wine and enjoy Walla Walla. The hotel is absolutely charming and the staff was wonderful. I wanted to give extra thanks to Andrea Barrens and Therese who made us feel so welcome. You rooms were very comfortable and we didn't want to leave! The breakfast is hearty and prepared us for a day of exploring the town and some of the wineries. I would definitely come here again. thank you for a memorable stay.

We were looking forward to staying at the historic Marcus Whitman Hotel while we attended a friend's wedding over the weekend. It was a splurge for us to stay here, but we were celebrating our 45 wedding anniversary and decided to spoil ourselves. The location of the hotel was very convenient to the downtown area and Saturday Farmers Market and we enjoyed walking around the area each day. We were disappointed in our room and in the breakfast. The floor under the bed & along the floor boards needed mopping and the furniture needed a good dusting. The sheet over our quilt had a blood/chocolate stain on it, so we asked for a new sheet. A new sheet was delivered while we were gone, but it was placed folded on the bed instead of being placed correctly over the quilt. I was able to put the sheet around the guilt correctly, but I thought housekeeping (or whoever brought the sheet) would have put it on as a curtesy. On a positive note, we were in the West Wing and it was a quiet room.. The breakfast was average. The food options did not change from day to day. The eggs were on the dry side, sausage links were mushy inside, biscuits weren't warm and soft, and the pastry selection was underwhelming. The best part of breakfast was the coffee, friendly wait staff, and beautiful dining room. For the price we paid we expected a little more. On our next visit to Walla Walla we will definitely select another hotel.

I attended a conference in Walla Walla where the hotel with its meeting rooms and accommodations was pre-selected for us. If it wasn't, I still would have stayed here. The Marcus Whitman is my go-to preferred hotel whenever I travel to Walla Walla. This stately brick-pile has everything you need for a comfortable stay; a large and well-furnished welcoming lobby, great desk staff, complimentary wifi, polite and efficient housekeepers, clean rooms, and great bar & restaurant on site. It's within walking distance of the downtown core with its wine tasting rooms and fine quality restaurants. If you do plan to stay here, get a room in the main building if possible. We got a conference center room on this stay and found it to be small and cramped. The bathrooms fit only one person at a time, and the room was challenging to maneuver for a wife with mobility issues and a wheelchair. I found the room noisy. The bathroom had a loud "power-assist" low-volume flush toilet that one could hear through the walls when our neighbors flushed them at 2 in the morning. Still, clean and comfortable with good parking and a preferred place to stay. I will rebook here when I come back again on another visit.

The hotel lobby is impressive, it's the nicest and most historic hotel in town. We were greeted by a smiling check in person [Tom?], and he upgraded us to a 2-bedroom suite on the 8th floor with a great view of the city and mountains. Breakfast in included in the Marc restaurant. The hospitality and staff are wonderful here! Walk to everything downtown has to offer. I highly recommend this hotel.

My husband always tries to make our trips special. We had been staying at the Marcus Whitman for years in the larger room with a large tub. The new ownership is going to stop having the breakfast buffet. Executive Chef Grant is no longer there and I looked forward to his chef's table dinners and was unable to schedule them as they do not have an Executive Chef now. Sure it's close to main street and the hustle and bustle, but so are others. We were paying a premium and don't see the reason to continue. It's unfortunate, but we did find some other unique and fun properties that are nearly as close and convenient.

This was , without a doubt, the best overall experience we've ever had. The staff was wonderful, from check-in to check out. They were courteous and friendly and extremely helpful. When we checked in we were offered an upgrade which we took and are so glad we did! The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are exceptionally clean and well maintained.
