The food I ordered was good. I enjoyed it. I loved being able to have fried okra. It's usually a southern thing. Very good fish and chips. I can not get excited about the service. Perhaps it was just an isolated occurrence I happened on to by chance.

Always like to be by the water and Puffin Cafe is right on the water. But the food was not as it had been before. The hamburger was not very thick and it was over cooked.. so it was dry. The clams were awfull. If I wanted clam cerviche I would've asked for it. The clams add so much lime squirted on it that it was chewy and tasted a lot like a cerviche. Everything had lime or lemon on it. The calamari rings ...scallops too. My feeling about the seasoning... less is better. Usually, the fish and chips are my favorite, but the batter was too thick and the oil they fried it in was not hot enough.. so it was soggy. The fried fish sandwich was also soggy..made the bread soggy too. Maybe next time it will be better.

If it weren’t for the food and the service I’d rate this place a lot higher because it does have a nice atmosphere on the water. However, our server wasn’t very friendly and didn’t check on us once. She also took forever to pick up the check. Service was very slow overall. The hamburger and the Jamaican jerk burger we got were not good and lacked flavor. They made my burger wrong the first time but corrected it and I got a new one. Strawberry lemonade and Arnold Palmer were watery and not good. Maybe the other dishes are better. Would not recommend as the atmosphere and fact that it’s on the water does not make up for the poor food quality and slow/bad service.

Called asking if they were pet friendly, got an extremely rude lady on the phone telling me “Uh no, not today. It’s raining.” In the most rude tone ever. It’s Washington, wasn’t raining where I was how was I supposed to know? No reason to be a jerk. That service says a lot and probably won’t try this place.

I stumbled across this gem on the perfect sunny day. The view and atmosphere were perfect for a lunch for one on the water. My server Todd recommended the Blackberry halibut salad and it didn't disappoint! Fish was light AND crispy, the blackberry soaked onions were a hidden treat! The calaloo voodoo soup was so light and refreshing for Potato dense soup! Will definitely be back again and soon!

Been going here for while and have really enjoyed this place. But idk if it’s just me but I swear prices have gone up since I was last here and it’s a lil pricey for the food. The food is great but I would say it matches the price. The Mac and cheese with shrimp is really good! The jerk burger was also really good. Also the wait times on actually getting your food has drastically increased. I’ve never had to wait an hour for food like this time. Again the food is really good and you can’t beat the location. Definitely worth eating here!!

We stopped here on a whim and seeing good reviews. It was difficult to find, go towards the river and you will see a sign ( see pictures). The service was good, the food was very good.I really liked being on the dock and seeing the Sea Lions. The Key Lime pie was tasty but a bit heavy for us.

Popular place even in winter! No reservations were taken, but it was a short wait and worth waiting for. The food choices are wonderful and the food is delicious.

Service was EXCELLENT! I was so impressed with how fast I was served and asked if I needed something. My Jerk Tacos were good, but I felt that it needed some more heat and sauce.
