Highway 2 Brew Espresso

The lady Monday evening was very sweet and took the time to help me decide how much sweetness I would want since I told her I don’t like them too sweet. Service was great and felt personable. I added an extra shot to the 16oz and think the milk to coffee ratio was perfect; not like overly milked drinks a lot of these kind of stands will make.

terrible time management. don’t go there unless you have time to kill. sat there for 15 minutes with one person of each side after that one car left and the proceeded to have the walk up customer go to the other side to continue to chat and i assumed helped me. but but. another five minutes passed without even opening the window so that’s when i decided to leave.

I ordered just a plain oat milk latte.

First, I assume they are using a very darkly roasted bean. This is never my preference, but I can live with it if done right.

Second, their grounds-to-water ratio is just wrong. They are either putting too few coffee grounds in the portafilter, or letting the extraction run too long, or some combination of the two.

But this is a typical issue for coffee stands that put profit far ahead of any semblance of quality.

The espresso is thin, pappery, and sour.

A truly wonderful place

We had the lunch with a sandwich fruit cookies and chips.

Came through on a Sunday morning, the gal at the window was very friendly (and funny). We ordered a bagel sandwich, a breve mocha and a sugar cookie. My 8 year old said the cookie was really good, and my husband said the coffee was good too. The bagel sandwich was really good (my husband ended up stealing half after telling me he wasnt hungry), and made to order. We would definitely stop here again if we pass by!

We went on a Friday just after 1pm. There was only one guy, a walk up, and the barista didn't acknowledge us, we waited 5min. Too busy flirting.

Adorable little coffee stand! Kids asked for the boxed lunch for the car ride and they we delicious and wholesome. Great place to stop!
