I don't know what changed in the last week. The music playing was appropriate for a funeral home. The food was slow which made the service slow. Food was overcooked. Portion size went down- burger was noticeably smaller and fries were a skant handful. What happened?

Foods ok, no non pork breakfast options. But service made up for that. We had great service. Cute atmosphere.

My son and I went here because I had gone to the other Huckleberry restaurant and was very impressed. This place needs to do better, especially with their customers. We arrived at 08:45 am and waited to be seated. There was 6 other tables in progress before we had shown up. While my son and I were waiting, the waitress told us it would be a little bit as they were busy. We were ok with that. 3 more people came in and waited behind us. 2 more people came in behind them. At 9:00, we were all finally seated. The hostess gave me and my son the menu's and water. She asked us if we wanted anything else to drink, we said no. We looked over the menu and decided what we were going to eat. The waitress came over and asked us if we needed more time, we told her we knew what we wanted. She took our order, the 3 people that had been behind us in line, and the other 2 people that had been behind them. We sat and visited while we were waiting on our food. By 9:20, the 3 people that had been behind us were served their food, by 9:25, the 2 people who had been behind the 3 people behind us got their food. My son told me we should just leave as we still hadn't been served our food. He was also pretty upset that the waitress would go over to two other tables and visit with them for several minutes and not bother with the other customers. While we were waiting on our food, 3 older people came in and waited to be seated. 2 more people came in behind them and were also waiting to be seated. Shortly after that, a single customer came in a d was waiting in line. The waitress told the first group 3 different times that they were busy and she would get to them soon. The group of 3 finally left after 15 minutes of waiting. The couple that was waiting behine the group of 3 left shortly after they did. The single customer got seated shortly after that. My son and I finally got our meals shortly after that. I asked the waitress for 2 to go containers. She told me that we would have to wait because they were busy. When she finally brought the containers, she didn't leave the check for the amount owed. My son and I sat there for probably 2 minutes, then we got up to go. I headed towards the cash register to pay for my bill and had to wait to pay. My son got irritated at how long we were waiting since the waitress was back at the 2 tables she had been visiting with since before we had even got seated. I finally was able to pay for the food. This was the worst customer service I've had in a long time. My family had gone to the Huckleberry at Pybus and had the exact opposite. There the service was outstanding. Here is not the case. I would totally not recommend eating here unless you like to wait an extremely long time on not only getting seated, but on getting your food also.

I could be wrong but, I think I got boxed eggs. I prefer my eggs straight from the shell. I'll have to verify next time I visit...

Every restaurant is like an author, you don't judge them till at least 2-3 meals in. Well, the verdict is in. For a reasonable price you can get home cooked food that doesn't leave a want for more food unlike Denny's who's artificial meals never quite hit the spot and always leaves one hungry. The biscuits and gravy with a side of eggs is delicious beyond words for 11.99 and the pancakes are so large you only want to order one for 5.99. I ordered the half stack, a simple mistake that left far too much food leftover.

If you are heading out for breakfast, skip Denny's and head to it's neighbor, the Wild Huckleberry. Healthy filling food at a reasonable price with the nicest staff around.

Went to brunch this morning with friends and ordered the Bene burger with side of onion rings. I was excited that I could get the best of both worlds with breakfast and lunch. I was greatly disappointed. First the good. The smoked bacon was perfect, the egg and burger were good, the bun was also good. It was missing one major component...the hollandaise sauce. There was no hollandaise on a Benedict burger. The waitres apologized and brought a side of sauce but it was less than meh. Just my opinion but if you are going to serve hollandaise it better have good strong flavor because it is a highlight of the dish. This with the hash browns that were slightly crispy and mostly like mashed potatos with crusty strings really dashed my dining enthusiasm. The onion rings on the other hand were very excellent with the perfect amount of seasoning and very well cooked. Was not the quality I have previously enjoyed at the Wild Huckleberry.
