The Blue Bouy was characteristic of restaurants in town -- down home food, lots of local clientele, very busy and friendly, helpful people.My friend uses a walker so navigating a busy restaurant is always a challenge. One of the staff helped by clearing a table that was easier to get in and out of, near the front window with a view of the docks.Crab is the local specialty so we ordered the Crab Louie and the Crab Sandwich with clam chowder on the side. Both were delicious.On leaving, I was having trouble helping my friend get up from his chair (he's 6'3" and heavy) so a lady at a nearby table who was a retired nurse came over and helped. We found all the people we encountered in our 4-day stay to be friendly and helpful.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp to the left of the front door which allows entry to the back of the dining area.”

“I've been getting ice and chum bait from Westport Seafood for a few years and haven't had anything close to a bad experience. Joe and staff all work long hours and give 110%! Their saltwater flake ice is the best I've used. And its stupid cheap. They only sell it by the full tote for $60, I don't need more than half that per trip but would easily spend twice that amount at a grocery store or gas station buying the same amount of crappy ice that I can watch melt. And the IQF sardines are $55 for a #40 pound box, very reasonable. And I prefer to chum with dead bait over live because it lays down a perfect trail and won't swim away... They only take cash or checks. Try to have exact change when picking up ice/ bait in the mornings before a trip. They are open until 5pm and it's always easier to load up the afternoon before a trip if possible. And they ice doesn't melt anyways.”

“My friend and I arrived in Westport late in the evening. We went online and discovered this funky little deli is still open. We hurried over and found no one in the front where a couple of booths and a display case are located. There's a small bar in the back and it had 2 or 3 patrons. After inquiring the helpful bartender said we could take one of the booths up front since my friend uses a walker, and she would take our order and serve us there.We ordered Clam Chowder and Tuna Sandwich and it was delivered soon after. After getting some food, a great porter beer and meeting all three of the house doggies, we were ready to get to our condo and settle in. Staff here were super helpful and saved us from starvation after a long drive. Thanks!”
