Aloha Alabama BBQ was deliciously unexpected in the commercial fishing district at Westport. Do you like barbecue? Or do you want a poke bowl? You can have both. The fries were big and hot; the baked beans were so good we bought some to go. The kalua pig was perfect, not too salty. Portions are generous and food was served promptly. Eat inside with the beachy, southern decor or outside in the covered / open picnic table tent. Staff were friendly and accommodating to boot....
Great food! My fiancè had pulled pork tacos and they were amazing especially with the sauce that they put on them. Very filling for sure. I had the brisket platter (they happen to have brisket the day we were there) and it was great as well.
I had the pulled pork platter with pasta salad and coleslaw. The pulled pork was excellent but the coleslaw was flavorless and the pasta salad was very dry.
I'd return for the pulled pork, but those sides will be skipped next time.
My wife had the fish tacos and the fish was very overcooked.
Others in our party had pork sandwiches and fries and they were real happy with those. The fries looked real good, so I'll get those next time.
