Exceeded the reviews we read. Excellent food, great service, fun atmosphere, and conveniently located to our lodging. We will definitely be back.
Good food. We had Chilli Rellenos, Carne Asada Buritto and a dish I can't remember the name: Chicken and Cheese in the dish.
The food is not bad. But it’s not good. The only reason I have a problem if bc they charge way to much. They’re always making the price higher. Bc they know they can get away with it bc the shoulders have know where else to go.

Walked into a crowded restaurant but saw that service was offered at bar. Grabbed a seat had a nice draft beer and good service. Ordered a combo plate enchiladas and chilireeno. Big amount of food came out with black beans and rice. No refried beans as they were cooked in LARD. Why any decent place is still using this poison, is above my understanding. Good food for a decent price.
Wonderful food. a good sign that it's frequented by Mexican Families. I had Chili Rellenos. My son had Carne Asada. Both delicious. Highly reciommend this place, and it is with walking distance of our hotel, the Oxford Suites.
Worst dining experience in the past several years. From out-of-town; felt like Mexican; and the hotel (next door) and TA recommended. Started off ok - seated immediately and got chips and salsa within a few minutes with a "your waiter will be with you shortly" comment. After 15 minutes (and this is a Thursday evening) and no waiter, I got up to look for someone to send a waiter. A waitress then appeared and took our order. It was delivered by another waiter, I asked for more salsa and water, and yet another waiter brought that. At about this time, a large birthday party next to us (about 18 people) broke up, which is when 3 waiters sprung into action, breaking down a portable table, throwing chairs around, and unceremoniously sweeping up all of the stuff on the floor no more than two feet from where I was trying to eat. And after we were finished, I waited another 15 minutes and for the second time that night, went to seek help - this time to get the bill. Now, a 5th waiter appeared with the bill. The food was ok, but I have had a more enjoyable dining experience in a truck stop or a biker bar -- they have no idea whatsoever about how to treat their diners. Never been to Yakima before, but if this is the kind of service the locals have come to expect, they need to get out more.
Busy but the food is delicious. I had the carne asada plate which comes with a hefty portion. Wife had some enchiladas. You can tell food is made there and not frozen nor microwave heated. Outside patio was great.
El Mirador This Mexican restaurant has all your favourite Mexican dishes, well prepared and in large quantities. There are several choices for a vegetarian. The chips and salsa hit the table as you begin to look at the menu. All in all, a great place to stop for a quick meal on your way through Yakima, or to take your time and savour your favourite Mexican meal.

I had been out hiking all day, and when I came in to Yakima it was already late. Several restaurants near my hotel were closed, so I hoofed it across town to check out El Mirador, which was open later. This is slightly-better-than-average Mexican food, done in what I think of as an American style. The service was good and prompt. I ordered a combo plate with a chile relleno, enchilada, etc. It was an enormous amount of food, and yet somehow I managed to put it away. Maybe it was those 12 miles and 5000 feet of elevation gain that helped? Satisfying, simple, and filling, this is Mexican comfort food for the lonely traveler.
Good food - Great Service We used a Restaurant.com coupon = $5.00 off. We would have been happy to pay full price (but we were happier to get the discount). The food was good, and the Margaritas were excellent, but not as good as the service. Will go again.
Their weekday lunch specials are great. Sometimes different daily, sometimes the same. Very large portions, plus a giant basket of chips with salsa! Friendly service!
Pretty large restaurant that served Mexican food - nothing exceptional, but satisfying. They had indoor, covered patio, and outdoor patio dining options.
After a long drive it was wonderful to find a Mexican Restaurant close to the hotel. El Mirador 2 exceeded my expectations. The parking lot was full but the service was prompt. Chips, salsa and re-fried beans delivered to the table without asking. An extensive menu and my beef burrito was very good and the margarita was cold and so very tasty.
