Great food and service

Desert Wildflower

The place is very dinghy, as soon as you walk in there’s a gross mildewy smell. I’ve tried three items from their menu and none were great. Much better places in Yakima.

First time I walked in since I was a kid I was really let down by everything but the service it was above expectations but the food was not what I expected if your looking for the best Mexican food in town definitely not it and it smells old in there as I was eating my food I kept thinking the ceiling was going to fall down and hit me , really outdated wouldn’t go out on a date there if your looking for an empty restaurant and don’t like eating around people this is the place for you the horchata tastes like ampm gastation Horchata

This was our first trip back to Yakima in 15 years. We Googled for a good Mexican restaurant and picked El Pastor. We were impressed with the friendly service and made to order food. Best we have had in a long time! Highly recommend. We were in Yakima for the fog show, so we took our food to go.

Very casual diner type atmosphere which makes it very comfortable, top notch service & excellent casual food

Our server was very pleasant and did a great job taking our order from 6 people. Food was brought out and after that we only saw our server one time.
Food was good but nothing to brag about.

They dot serve pastor...so lets start there. It's giving kitchen nightmare vibes. Super smelly and nasty. Definitely weird

The restarted a makeover, it's so old and smells like it. The quality of food went way down, was very disappointed today. For the price it doesn't compare to nearby place. Probably won't go back.

Very dated restaurant in general - you can tell this was a super old diner at some point with very little renovation ever done. A couple other, more important reasons for such a low rating:

- margaritas were subpar; disappointing really. Served in plastic soda glasses with very little flavor. Tasted like cheap tequila and soda.
- the food in general just not that good. The mexican rice was overcooked and lacking a lot of flavor. The chicken in our dishes was also overcooked and super dry. My Arroz Con Pollo was also overall bland and forgettable.

- they close quite early for dinner. 7:30 every day they are open.

WAY better Mexican restaurants out there.

To be fair the service was very friendly and prompt. No issues there.

Overall I certainly would not recommend nor will we be back.
