This is hands down my favorite bakery in Yakima! It has been for years and I have not realized I'd never done a review for it. I'm a fairly accomplished baker myself. And so I can tell you from personal experience and expertise that these guys are exceptional!!! I can make good bread but I buy theirs weekly. My favorite being the Palouse (sp?). Their desserts are to die for and if you happen on a day when they're making their fresh pretzel rolls do yourself a favor and buy a whole bag worth.

We came in for a late lunch and although almost everything was sold out already, because of their fame, we still had a magnificent sandwich, coffee and a cheesecake to die for. Ryan’s place has a very cool artistic vibe.

I adore this bakery! The staff are all so lovely, their pastries are always delicious, and it's just so comfy and inviting.
Today I went with my dad and halfway through our drinks a fumble happened that resulted in his drink spilling all over the floor. The staff were extremely gracious and quick to help clean it up and even offered a replacement drink despite the spill being our fault.
Thanks for all you do!

Only stopped by because it was the only thing we found open. Very pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food, and the coffee was excellent.
Don't ever plan on being back in Yakima but if I do I will make a point to come back for more treats.
Fantastic pastries and sandwiches!
I'm picky about my bread and pastries. This place is the real deal.
From their delicious homemade mocha sauce and homemade breads to their amazing espresso and wonderful pastries (ham & cheese croissant & every.sweet.goodie), there is nothing they make that I don't love. And their staff is very attentive and genuine. A special gem in Yakima, for sure. I wish we had a second location in West Valley!
The bakery was a small and cozy place. My boyfriend and I got a sandwich and a milk pudding. It was yummy.

i have been going to Essencia Bakery on average once a week for years. The soups, sandwiches, salads, breads, treats, cakes, cookies are amazing. You can tell they love what they do because it is reflected in everything they make including the peanutbutter cookies, oatmeal and coffee! Recently I bought a Danish rye bread at Essencia, and it was so delicious with butter, jam and honey that I could not stop eating it!! We are lucky to have Essencia here!!🥰❤️😋
Cozy spot. Ask for a mug if you don't want a paper cup. Han/cheese croissant (slightly nuked) made a satisfying, though not standout, light lunch.
This is definitely a place you need to cone early. The food is good, wish there was more selections, but like I said you need to come early. It's a great place to get a good start to a day of shopping or a great place to start or end your early date, meeting up with friends. This is one place my hubby and I are coming back to
This is a great bakery. Lots of great food options and typical bakery stuff. Coffee options are good and overall the prices are reasonable.
Love the complete dessert options for purchase.
Also, the artwork for sale is one of a kind. Lots of paper made flowers of various shapes and sizes.
I'm gonna start stopping by regularly for various things.
Best bakery in Washington State! My husband is French and very picky about food. This is the only bakery we've come across in the US that has earned his stamp of approval. We've been to bakeries in the Bay Area, Seattle, Spokane, Portland and so forth. Highly recommend.
