I have only gone 3 times to this place. The food was meh but edible, but it was close to where I do laundry so I would order to go. Not once was I told there was an up-charge for take out, nor is it listed on their menu. Well the 3rd and final time I will ever go to this establishment, I thought I had paid $33.33, not $43.33 like my bank was saying was charged. I called and talked to Buck, who says he was the General Manager, and asked him if he could find the receipt to verify the amount. Without looking at the receipt, he says that it was correct if you add up what I ordered. When I did the calculations, it wasn't coming to the amount I got charged, so I needed to see the receipt. He refused to find the receipt and said it was on me to prove the amount. I asked, "How can I prove the amount when a receipt wasn't offered?" He said that wasn't his problem. After about, less than 10 minutes, of trying to get a receipt from him, he said he didn't have time to talk to me anymore because he was busy. I said well maybe I won't have time to revisit his establishment anymore and I would tell everyone I know what a terrible experience I had and how rude he was talking to me by me just trying to simply get verification on an amount. He yells into the phone "You're just a d*** b**ch who can't f**king count!" and then hung up on me. I was in shock. A few minutes later he called back. I let it go to voicemail as I didn't want to get verbally abused again. It was the same person, Buck, but in a much more professional manner (very confused at this point) saying I can go pick up the receipt anytime. I went in with my daughter and once he found out what I was there for, he immediately got snotty and rude in a neener neener tone, and said, "See, there's your receipt. It's for the amount that was charged." He said, "You can have the receipt but don't take my menu.", then walks off. He didn't even give me a chance to look at the receipt and ask questions. The thing is, the receipt only had a total on it, not the actual charges listed on the menu, so I don't know how he arrived at the total. It didn't prove anything to me. He had an opportunity to fix his behavior by apologizing but was too proud to do so. Pity. I'm a pretty forgiving person and we all have outbursts but he didn't even try to apologize. His behavior, not necessarily his food, was what got this Yelp review. I later read a review that said, "Check your receipt. Buck likes to add charges." Lesson learned. I will NEVER go there again and I will tell this story for a long time.

I was really disappointed in this place. To give it credit, it just wasn't what I was expecting. The place was packed so people really enjoy it. Also, it seemed really fresh. My issue was my order not being what I expected or what I asked. First, I asked for sauce on the side and it was on my meal. I will say the chicken looked hand bartered. Second, I ordered lo mein and my noodles were clear. They were wet in a salt water looking sauce and pretty salty. It was not what I think of when I order lo mein. It didn't look appealing, but it was warm. Now that I know it's a restaurant that is not something I would enjoy I won't be back. Like I said though, overall the customer service was great, the food looked fresh, it just wasn't appealing to me.

Wow. I wish I could give this place a zero. This was absolutely the WORST food I've ever had!!! And not just Chinese food...any food. I am so sorry I went by the ratings posted here. Who would ever give this place high ratings, much less 5 stars??? I don't understand. Now I know why no one was at the place, which should have been a red flag. The so called chow mein came from a CAN. Seriously, a can! No real chow mein noodles except for the crunchy type they put under the runny chow mein mess. And all the food had no flavor at all, and tasted the same, which was bad. I was also surprised that the tea was served with a coffee cup. This was supposed to be a Chinese restaurant, right? I hate to give a place such a bad review, but this was so bad that I felt people should know.

We ordered takeout dinner this evening from Koeki's because we were in a hurry. We ordered Keoki's house lo-mein (a meal by itself) loaded with meats & veggis, chicken with fresh mushrooms in a flavorful oyster flavored sauce, and pork fried rice (my favorite). Keoki's pork fried rice has a unique smoky flavor that keeps us coming back; if you have not tried it, you should. We thought we ordered about the right quantity for two...but had enough food for four or more. The food is always very fresh, and nicely seasoned without being overly salty. Keoki's has been here for years and the quality is as good as I remember it from 20+ years ago.

Love it every time I go. Buck is awesome. Have never had a bad meal here. Great place to go with friends, or bring the family.

I had not been to this restaurant since the 70's. I had fond memories of this restarant as a kid. I just went back after over 40 years. Glad to say that I still have fond memories. The staff was great! And the food even better! I ordered a porterhouse steak and the waiter brought out what looked like a roast. Best porterhouse I have had in some time and cooked perfectly! And to my surprise, it was only about 20 dollars. I don't know how they stay in business. I pay 60 dollars plus for a steak that size in Southern California. Everybody enjoyed their meal and the service. The salad dressing is out of this world. Everybody agreed that we had been away too long and will be coming back.

Always love this place, been going here for years! Very popular for take out, nice to eat in also.

Currently the best in town but barely in the city. Twenty minute drive for me but sometimes I'm out that way at Rosaur's (local stores near me are full of low life scum). Interesting menu. Chinese with some of those dishes George had a long time ago when he owned other places like yaki niko. Food is consistent unlike the other Chinese joints that are up and down but mostly down. Busy place, friendly staff. Great chow mein and egg rolls and the combos are a good value. Take the drive and save yourself a gut ache you'll get in town with all those crappy places.

4 stars, I work in an environment where 5 stars means absolute perfection. That doesn't mean George's Wok isn't perfect, it is a sit down, down to Earth, "back in the day", type restaurant. I had the pleasure of dining of the #7 - almond chicken, sweet and sour pork, side of fried rice. Nailed it! The sauce for the sweet and sour pork wasn't the typical "box sauce, just add water" type of sauce. Instead, there were a multitude of orange zest that popped with every bite, it was tangy, sweet, and sour. The menu is 1 page front and back, which i like for simplicity. The hardest thing about eating out, is being overwhelmed with options. While I was there with my 6 year old son, our waitress and two other families complimented him on his behavior. This made the experience extra special for him.

First time here. Great service, clean old school atmosphere and good food. Much like other places with similar menus, received what we were expecting and left content! For a Sunday afternoon, they had a constant flow of people, who seemed like regulars, so it seems like they've had a good thing going for them. Check it out!

I gave these guys a second try. Nice people. Terrible food. And, the food might have tasted better if my double Tanguery and tonic had actually been a double and had been made with the right gin.

We typically order out and it always tastes fresh and is ready when we arrive for pick up. The service is good and I love their almond chicken!

Worst food I have ever tried to eat. The almond chicken was covered in some sort of lumpy tasteless gravy. The chow mien was really bad. Service was slow and the fried rice was brought to the table well after the meal. The rice was scorched. When I told the waiter/cook he said it couldn't be burned because had had just cooked it and I was tasting the spices. Told him NO it was burnt. I left over 95% of the food and left. These people need to hire a real cook or maybe open a mini mart.

I tried this restaurant with my in-laws for the first a few months ago and I loved it. I've never ate in the restaurant, only take-out, but have been impressed each time. I have the #15 and I love it. Food is ready quickly and made accurately!

Horrible food and service. I've tried this place 3 times over the years hoping it would improve but nope! The people highly rating this place are either A) employees B) friends and family of the owners or C) all wear dentures and have no sense of flavor. If you want good Chinese food go to the Golden Moon. They put Keokis to shame BADLY.
