I’m so happy I found this wonderful diner on a roadtrip. Cute atmosphere, great service, and amazing food. The Mel’s scramble was soo good. My only regret was forgetting to take a photo.

My family always grabs breakfast here together before we head home from visiting family on the east side a few times a year. We sit in the back with a large table (usually 10-20 people and kids) and have had the same waitress quite a few times. She makes the trip each time so lovely! She's funny, bilingual, and so kind. Plus, she always wears such gorgeous beaded earrings!

What a wonderful experience! The restaurant is retro and tastefully decorated. Everything was clean and shiny. Our waitress, Eunice, was fast and efficient with a great sense of humor.I had the burger dip with cheddar and sautéed mushrooms. I loved it. My husband had the BLT and fries. We were both impressed with the food. We will definitely be back!!!

Like walking back in time...I live Mel's Diner! The smell of good ol black coffee and Bacon drifting in the air along with Bacon! The atmosphere is so cool! Chrome, Hot Rods and old school charm!! Mel is a hands on owner and that is what makes his restaurant run like a fine tuned engine!And the service was excellent and food is served up with a smile!If you are looking for tasty, fun place to dine in,don't pass it by!! Thank you Mel for many many years of giving Yakima delicious food!!

Classic American Diner! From the architecture, fixtures, furnishings to the coffee mugs it is retro. Staff is great and enjoy fun banter. Food is tasty and they serve plenty of it. Bright and happy place. Hours are short, mornings only.
