I have been going here since I was a kid (over 35 years now). Joe Mann has been a great part of my sports memorabilia and silver bullion collecting over the years. He's an honest and fair dealer of both. His shop offers friendly staff and some very neat items. There is something in there for everyone.
I love this place. Ron's is definitely a collector's haven. They have a huge selection of coins and comic books, but that's not all. They have a little bit of everything. Chances are if you collect it, Ron's carries it. I personally like to look at all the coins, and spend time looking at everything in the store. They also have a calendar of the events they host every month. It's a really neat place!
The staff is super nice and helpful. They have a ton of old wax sports cards at great prices. Really cool store for anyone into comics, collectibles, cons or sports cards. If you're in-town you have to check it out!
Asked about a1945 Penny. Great Conversation with answers. Thanks!
This place reminds me of my childhood. Super friendly/helpful staff AND comics everywhere. What more could you ask for? Maybe a little more Manga in the Manga section.
Ron's has a huge selection of really cool collectables and great service. Very honest people with very fair pricing. I highly recommend Ron's coin and collectables!
I’ve been a customer for over four years and nothing has changed. I shop here because it’s the only place in Yakima to buy comic books, and I have a pretty decent sized pull list. Every week it’s the same thing over-and-over. I’m always missing books, and their attitude is always “Oh well…that’s Diamond for you.” Now I know Diamond isn’t the greatest, but I have never had a shop have this big of an issue with Diamond. They really don’t show any care or concern for their comic book customers and pay way more attention to customers trying to sell their worthless coins. They literally just stare at you with a “what do you want me to do about it?” Look on their face. They make no effort to satisfy you, nor do they do a good job of recovering the issues I missed. Comics are an important part of my life, sad I know, so I just want a little empathy and good customer service when I’m missing issues. Avoid this place if you can.
(as of: 01/16/2021) Ron's place is AMAZING!!! This is the heart of Yakima! The team members here are great and friendly. They will not stress or hassle you. Browse and enjoy the great collection they have. They have a nice collection of Boardgames at an AMAZING prices!!! Their margins are so low, they just love to see their customers happy. For the Holidays we bought the expansion to Mysterium for our friends. Recently we bought Carcassonne+Xpac for another as well. Smash-Up lovers beware, they even carry the "Even Bigger Geekier Box" for the same decent price if you were to search elsewhere, by why ask for delivery from those smiley vans that would throw your package out their door, when you can stop by here and pick the different boxes and selection they have! Pre-Covid, there are tables for gaming in the back. Now those tables are empty because of their care for our safety. Please help support your local Yakiima shop!!
I drove an hour (one way) to go to Ron's Coin & Collectables. They had the comic book supplies I needed in stock (my local shops did not). The staff was very friendly and helpful. Well worth the trip to Yakima. I'll shop here in the future for all my comic supplies, even if it's an hour drive.
Spent my childhood here. I remember going into Ron’s and special ordering the latest Tenchi Muyo, Sailor Moon, Inu-Yasha movies, manga and comic books. I would literally save up my allowance to come here after school and order myself some new goodies - I was in elementary school in the late 90s - early 2000s. I can’t remember the woman’s name who helped me and would let me look at the ordering catalog to pick out what I wanted. She has short grey hair, tall older woman (maybe 40s at the time?), but she was awesome.Just randomly thought about this as I’m getting ready to delete a Sailor Moon S Hearts In Movie off my 12 years old computer.Thank you, Ron’s Coin & Book for being a special part of my childhood I’ll never forget!
