We have tried to stop and try thier beers several times, but whenever we drove through town they were closed. Luckily we got to try them today, and we were not disappointed. Thier habinero beer was so balanced and smooth. Their haze was also a must try. If you have N opportunity to try this place, dont pass it it.

Ahren was great and the mango habanero cider was crazy good. So much flavor every time you take a drink (got one to go to). Shout out to High Desert Brewing for making a great cider. Highly recommend.

We took a day trip from Tacoma to check out Yakima breweries. We checked out 5 and Shorthead was by far our absolute favorite. Solid beer and you can tell Aaron is super passionate about the beer and the community.

These guys are 5/5 aa far as microbrews go. If you want a great connection to Yakima, start here. Their beer and cider are fire, Aaron was really cool, and they have a chill dog friendly patio.

Shorthead Brewing is the latest addition to the Yakima beer scene. They have a prime location next to other popular downtown restaurants/bars. They both brew beer and have their own cider label for all the cider fans out there. My favorite beer was their red ale, August Burns Red - a nice homage to one of my favorite bands during my junior high emo phase. The atmosphere is laid back. On the interior there's a nice modern industrial feel. A cool feature is the repurposed apple bins throughout the space. They currently don't have any food offering aside from popcorn though are cool with bringing in food from outside eateries. Overall this is an excellent addition to downtown and I am looking forward to taste how their beer/cider evolves over the coming years. We will definitely be back!
