Sumo Hibachi & Sushi - Yakima

Beautiful decor, good food, nice staff, BUT….if you are unable to walk stairs, you will NOT be able to use the restroom. For most people this will not be an issue, for me, it was. I would have planned ahead, if I had known.

My husband and I came for happy hour and we were very pleased with the appetizer prices, freshly prepared and many choices! High quality! We enjoyed the beautiful atmosphere also. . The owners and staff were attentive and pleasant.

Pros: I got a lunch set with good portions, very quickly, at a great price! The staff waited patiently for me to choose my lunch, and brought me a glass of water which I DEEPLY appreciated after trekking down the avenue :)

Cons: No included chopsticks in my bag :( . Had to eat sushi, dumplings, and fried shrimp with my fingers. The included miso soup was frankly tragic. I'm not a fan of miso but this tasted mostly of water, which wasn't satisfying.

I love this restaurant so much whenever I have enough money I buy Beef Fried Rice from here it's always amazing I love the services I get here definitely family friendly I would recommend this to anyone love you so SUMOS!💞

Food is Amazing. Fresh and served hot. Sushi was super fresh. Only complaint is the area is a little compact. But definitely worth it!

I don't understand how this place has a 4.5 star review because the food here was horrible. Maybe people don't know what quality Japanese and Hibachi style food should taste like but I would never go back. The waitress barely spoke English, the food was bland and some of it could even be described as slimy and it was so bad I left most of it on my plate. Save you money and go somewhere else.

The robots are here but don't be scared they are not making the food yet, just moving it from the back to the front desk.
The human chefs knocked the food out of this world. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The price was perfect and the amount of food you get is enough for some left overs which is just as amazing as the first serving. Highly recommend :)

I highly recommend this place. They actually had fired oysters which are hard to find and even harder to find that are prefect. The Cowboy sushi roll was stellar. Great quality and service!
