Wow! We found a new favorite spot for our visits to Washington. The chicken-fried steak was one of the best we've ever tasted. Portions are huge and worth every penny. To top it all off, the customer service was amazing. Jamie was a breath of fresh air and made us feel incredibly welcome and right at home.
We tried this place only once. It took a really long time to get seen by our waitress and even longer to get the food. Normally I wouldn't care so much but we have a 1 year old and they really don't sit well for long periods of time. It felt hectic in there. The food was good.. nothing too special about it. Dougs is a cozy restaurant great for a family breakfast. I have never felt joy the way I have sitting with my brother and his girlfriend while eating my French toast (absolutely delicious by the way) and sitting in dougs. It is so cozy and the service is IMPECCABLE. If you are thinking about trying dougs, it is worth every penny!!
