Fred's is in a small town just off the freeway with a few other chain burger joints closer to the highway that you can easily stop at first. But this is where the locals choose to eat because it's a better Burger experience all the way around. A bigger patty, fresh toppings, full leaf lettuce, a nice thick slice of ripe red tomato and onion and the cheese melting from a freshly cooked burger, not reheated. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and was really surprised by the quality of ingredients on the burger. The bun was good, they use really nice leaf lettuce, and the tomato and onion were both fresh. The burger patty itself is a let down. The patty was a frozen premade patty. You can tell by the perfect circle shape, spongy texture, and that it was very well done.
