Absolutely a wonderful time! When you enter, you're greeted by a very friendly and welcoming staff. You have the opportunity to do a tasting from a well organized menu. There are plenty of options for all types of wines.Our winetenders were incredibly kind to my partner and I. Wanda and Kristin were absolutely the greatest. They treated us like we'd been friends for years. Kristin was even a bonus when giving our tour, my partner surprised me with an engagement ring he'd been working on! He knew he wanted to give it to me at von Stiehl, a winery I've talked about since the day we met.We are very grateful for the shared memories we have with the crew that keeps the winery such a great place. I can't say enough great things. We were running behind and weren't going to make it there by close. I called because I wanted a special bottle of wine for my mom and Don stayed open and waited for us past closing. He was patient, friendly and helpful and didn't rush me once I arrived. Can't to go back when we can experience all the Winery has to offer. Thank you again Don!!

Valarie and Ari made my trip to Wisconsin AMAZING (I'm from San Diego)! Both were soooo much fun, the wine is the best in Door County, and the cider is OUTSTANDING. The combination of quality and amazing, fun service was the highlight of my trip. THANK YOU Von Stiehl!
We wanted to find a winery to stop and enjoy a glass while visiting Sturgeon Bay. We stopped here on the way back to Green Bay. Didn't know they were one of the oldest wineries in Wisconsin. Lots of good options to choose from, there is something for everyone. Not a wine drinker? They also serve hard cider here as well. You can get that either on tap or by the bottle. What is really nice about this winery is their location right on a canal adjacent to Lake Michigan I'm a beautiful, historic building. Beautiful views and very cool place outside and inside to enjoy your treats. It looks like live music and events are hosted in the back during the busy season. Prices are very reasonable and the staff were super friendly. We would be back, even the little town was fun to explore.

My husband and I found this winery 28+ years ago and I came back today for my 55th birthday. I was helped with Ariana and Shellie, who were delightful and very helpful. The wine is amazing and very vast in taste and texture. I highly recommend coming in for a tasting and leaving with a case. I couldn't do a separate review for the Von Stiehl Cider Bar, so I am adding to my review. Valerie at the Cider Bar was just as friendly and helpful as everyone at the Winery. When I didn't like one of my choices in my flight, she made a substation that I liked much better. I highly recommend stopping at both the Winery and the Cider Bar anytime.

Waited 15 minutes. Not one person acknowledged we were even there. Yes they were busy, but others walked up to the counter and were waited on before us. I would have waited longer if we were at least acknowledged and told it may be a few minutes. We walked out.

Quite a busy place with a large wine selection. We went at 10 to beat the rush and were greeted right away and picked our selections. Unfortunately, the person working with us wasn't the most friendly and spent very little time with us, even though she only had one other couple at the time. Would like more history, a better explanation of the wines so you don't feel like drink up and leave. We did buy 19 bottles even though the tasting experience was not what we expected.
