I like to come here to do homework, because it is cozy and quiet. I ordered a matcha latte and it much too sweet for me. They offered to get me something else and refunded the price difference. Will be back

It's a small space, but they crank out a lot of bakery. If you go on the weekends, be sure to plan extra time because it's a popular place and the line can be out the door. It's worth the wait though. Real French bakery with an assortment of flavors and types of pastries. They also have a coffee bar.

Lovely place... very quaint and cozy. Delicious lattes- we had a salted caramel pistachio and an apple cider type- both would get again! Fantastic croissants and pastries. Great, friendly service as well! Definitely need to go back! I wish I wouldve taken a picture of the croissants- HUGE!!

Absolutely fabulous pastries. I'm not a coffee drinker but I know I'll return for the hot chocolate and treats. Both people I was with would recommend an extra shot in the latte's

Got a chocolate almond croissant and raspberry pasty this morning. Both were so delicious, definitely coming back. My only complaint would be to make the patio dog friendly, and be accessible from sidewalk.

I love the crustless quiche. Sausage eggs cheese and hashbrowns my favorite. They always have such tasty treats I am always on the go so they are great

Cute coffee shop in downtown Altoona. The outdoor patio area looked lovely, but we had a dog and baby stroller with us and there was no way to access it without going through the coffee house. The iced chai was good, but nothing out of the ordinary.

Kid-friendliness: Not stroller friendly (or dog friendly for your fur babies

Wheelchair accessibility: Big step to get in the narrow door. Not a wheelchair user, but we had a stroller with us that wouldn't have been able to enter.

There is no better bakery in west central Wisconsin. Nostalgic Bean is the best one by far. Their staples -- almond croissant, cinnamon braid, and chocolate croissant -- are so, so delicious! And their rotating pastries and macaron flavors are consistently out of this world...if the Kouign Amann happens to be on the menu, get it and you'll be so glad you did. They also have a lot of yummy coffee, matcha, and tea options.

Misty is the kindest and most thoughtful bakery employee you'll ever meet. And the rest of the Nostalgic Bean staff is friendly and helpful. They seem genuinely happy to help customers even when it's a busy day.

I cannot recommend Nostalgic Bean enough. We are so lucky to have these delicious baked goods and in our city.
