“I was in the area looking for a different place to eat and found this on Yelp. It is a hidden gem. The food was fresh and delicious. I had the ginger carrot soup which was so good I bought some to go. The eetch was refreshing and light and I am considering taking some of this to go also. When I am in the area I will visit again.Parking: The building is among a lot of businesses but once inside the seating atmosphere is nice, quiet and relaxing.”

“They have a good selection of beer and I really like the atmosphere there. They have shuffleboard, board games and other things to do while enjoying some locally brewed beer. I like that they have a lot of seating options (bar, high tops, low tops) and sometimes have live music! The beers are very affordable Ranging from $3 5oz tasters to $8ish dollars for high ABV options but most land around $6 for a 16 oz which I find reasonable for specialty/locally brewed options. I love that the upstairs is open so even when you’re up there during live music, you can still hear it. A super cool place that I would definitely visit again!”

“A little informal service. We reunited to celebrate my friends birthday. She called in advance to reserve a table for 12. We arrived and there was no table under her name. They put together some tables for us. When the birthday girl arrived, she was surprised that we were not sitting on the corner spaced she had reserved. They have good cocktails, although the sangria had way too much ice!Overall a good place to go for a selection of wines and cocktails.I will come back to see if the service has improved.”

“This is by far our favorite Starbucks in the Chippewa Valley. The staff are always polite and coffee is always great! Cheng has a warm smile at the window and engages in friendly conversation. Wonderful team and atmosphere at this location!”

I wish I knew her name. she was a fantastic bartender already, but then she really stepped up when I had a medical emergency and she was quick to help out my husband and friend with helping them out and contacting the paramedics for me. please pass along to her that I truly appreciate her for the help. it really means alot to myself and my husband.”

“They’ve recently started doing fish fry on Fridays, I’d recommend trying. Good menu for food. Fun atmosphere. They’re open at 10am which is nice if you want an early lunch. The bartenders are really nice. I’ll definitely be back.”

“Very comfy interior with phenomenal baked goods and PEET'S COFFEE! My personal favorite was the german crumb cake. I highly recommend getting some crumb cake and coffee for a very nice start to the morning!”

“Stopped here on a road trip because I am a regular at a different bar called club 400 across the straight. Beef stick was great. Beer was cheap. Bartender was the man and they were handing out free beer coupons at 1 pm…my kind of place. Bought a hat. If I’m ever in Altoona again I won’t skip this place.”

“I stopped in here on a weekday evening. It wasn't very busy. The bartenders were attentive. I had some cheese curds, and a Tito's and tonic. It's a big place. The pool tables. Video games. Darts. Decent section of beer but not too deep on the craft beer menu. The bar itself is huge and wraps. Around the entire inside of the establishment. Ample parking. Can get very crowded on the weekend nights. Typical bar and Grill type menu.”

“Good food, fast friendly service. We had one issue with the taco salad, but other than that, our party of 8 all enjoyed their food. I even got a free fried ice cream because it was my birthday, without even asking. It was just mentioned in passing at the beginning of our service, and she plopped it down in front of me at the end of our meal- no charge. Very nice surprise.”

“Very friendly wait staff, we chose to dine in the lower "44 South" area to allow kids to play arcade games while waiting for their food. Food was delicious! “We visited Guac an’ Roll this afternoon with family here visiting from Chicago. The food was delicious and service was great! The burrito was huge and very, very delicious. We also got chicken nachos that were amazing! I’d highly recommend checking this place out!”

“The food here is absolutely phenomenal. I've had friends describe the food here as "unwrapped sushi", but even if you don't like sushi, this isn't a bad place. The atmosphere is delightful and the service is great too! I'm always full when I leave, and the prices aren't too bad. One of the workers said it's almost impossible to gain weight eating here every day (not certain if he was being 100% serious, but given the menu, I'd tend to agree).”

“Food served here is a very good variety, but they won't take orders for pick-up on weekends if the restaurant is too busy. As regulars, we feel very uncared about, and felt this should be brought to everyone's attention. Other restaurants do not do this to us, and we appreciate them. Hopefully they will change their minds and let us pick up again on the weekends.”

This is a great little independent family-style restaurant with breakfast available all day as well as a wide variety of lunch and dinner options.Our server was very friendly, and the food was excellent. Portion sizes were good, the food quality was excellent, and prices were very reasonable. We'll happily stop here again next time we're in the area.”
