“I've never had a good experience at this restaurant. haven't been here in years. I decided to swing in for a quick salad after my workout. I got there at 12:50 PM on a Tuesday. I was able to order right away, I didn't order a beverage. At 1:00 the couple behind me sat down, at 1:05 the couple behind me ordered. At 1:10 the couple behind me got their order(S) I ordered a chicken Caesar salad and was solo. I had other oligations going on I had to get to, I figured it wouldn't take that long for a chicken salad. As I got to the festival foods doors, The manager came out of famous Dave's and yelled, "Don't you want your food?" 😂 ....Yeah I sure did but not 40 minutes later sorry not sorry. Thanks for nothing!”

“Their food is absolutely delicious. Their staff is friendly and very accommodating. And it's just a cool place to be! We asked to be put by the fireplace because I was cold and they literally moved a table for us to be in front of the fireplace. Later they checked in about how we were doing temperature wise.

They even include 18% gratuity so tipping isn't expected. We had great service, so still added more.

My only complaint is they use Styrofoam boxes for leftovers.”

“It was our first time at Sammy’s. Hubby and I wanted something quick and simple and affordable. I had always wanted to stop for the salad buffet. We ordered the lunch special which is the personal pizza and salad bar. The salad bar was good but if I had my way, I wish it had greens and not shredded iceberg. I’d pay a dollar or two more for that. 😂 But it was still good and fresh. The waitress was SUUUUPPPEERR friendly. I asked her recommendation for pizza and she said the primo which is what I ordered. It did not disappoint! What I noticed immediately that it was REAL sausage chunks. Not the cheap pellets you sometimes see. Also I saw that there was sausage evenly distributed to ensure you get a piece of meat at every bite. Most places don’t do that and it drives me nuts. The crust was thin and crunchy which I loved. There was a good sauce to cheese ratio. If you want something affordable, stop at this great mom n pop restaurant. They even have take home frozen pizzas. No cardboard pizzas here. We will be regular customers when we crave pizza. Yumm!”

“Growler Guys is an Eau Claire fixture. When I lived in Eau Claire, this was my regular hang out and I met the love of my life here (no guarantees - but give it a try!) The owner is a stand up guy and the staff really cares about customer experience. It’s a true community spot and even on days off as a busy resident physician, I found myself volunteering for the community events (Mother’s day, Easter, Thanksgiving, etc.) If you are young/new parents, you and your children are so welcome! If you’re single or childless and just want to meet new friends, don’t think twice. For those who limit or don’t drink alcohol, there are plenty of alternatives. This was the first place I ever visited when I moved to Eau Claire (peri-pandemic) and the last place I bid farewell to when I moved. It will always have a special place in my heart. Run, don’t walk folks!”

“Best BBQ around the area that I have ever had. everything tastes great! the onion and pickles on a pulled pork sandwich (which I normal dont eat onions) something about the combinations there are wonderful! the local honey mixed in with the butter for the amazing cornbread. the tritip steak when they have it YUM!! to the dessert with cool whip. the variety of catered food for wedding and all other events blows my mind every time! even people from other states like Texas, I've heard compliment the food there, and that says something. 100% recommend this place and 100% worth every penny...#fulleverytime4alongtime#foodietime”

He told me the wait would be 5 minutes or less, and it was exactly that. Upon receiving my food in a timely manner he told me to have a great rest of my day. The egg rolls were amazing of course, and the service was superb. I’ve never had a bad experience here, and I’m so grateful they’re open and back to business. If you’re looking for great authentic food and reliable service, I’d reccomend you’d stop in and try out Egg Roll Plus.”

“WOW, was this good! I'm a Chicago girl, and grew up with gyros running through my veins, and this was just right! I requested grilled onions, which were perfect atop a blanket of gyros atop a bed of rice. There was a side of a bean puree (maybe chickpeas/garbanzos?) that was so good I could have eaten a bowl of that, alone! The falafel was perhaps a bit dense in texture (personal preference, not a criticism!), but the flavor was terrific, and the sauce was so good you could bathe in it! The owner's wife was flying solo this Sunday but, despite that, food was done in a completely reasonably amount of time, especially given the falafel was fried fresh to order, as were my requested onions. She couldn't have been sweeter, confirmed to me that the rice is Basmati, falafel mix was made that day, kept apologizing for the delay (truly, a 6-8 minute wait for fresh-to-order food is nothing; I've waited 20-25 minutes at Burger King in Black River Falls! Yikes!). The prices were super-reasonable, and the quality of everything was excellent. Consider me the newest fan, and I encourage visitors to Oakwood Mall or folks who live nearby to visit; we need another good Mediterranean option in Wisconsin, and these guys are terrific! I make chicken shawarma all the time; looking forward to my next visit to Eau Claire to try theirs, as well as those Mediterranean fries I keep hearing so much about!!! Food was amazing, fresh broasted chicken, fresh pizzas, french fries were perfect, not soggy at all, good dessert pizzas all coming out as fast as food was being taken! “Friendly service but did seem a bit frazzled/made some mistakes with our order but resolved them quickly. Appetizer came out pretty quickly, food was decent (ordered off the dinner menu - avoid their IHOP menu!). Steak was cooked perfectly to order and had good flavor, chicken was a bit overcooked and didn't come out sizzling like the steak. Overall a pretty good chain-resturant experience, just seriously avoid the breakfast menu at this location because it sucks (have ordered it here before and was super disappointed). Seemed like other tables around us that ordered IHOP menu items had issues with their orders.”

“My husband and I both got smash burgers based on reviews. The burgers were both good but so small. Usually when we get burgers elsewhere, we each leave with half leftover because we are so full. We left here still hungry! Definitely worth upgrading to double smash burgers. $16 for a single smash burger is high considering you can get quite large double smash burgers at the district for the same price. The fries were not good. Very salty. And the chips had no flavor. But I will say I was pleasantly surprised when I got the bill and didn’t see an upcharge for adding lettuce, pickles, and mayo to my burger. Most places will penny pinch wherever they can so I really appreciated that these items were not an upcharge. I also love that they use fresh mushrooms and not canned! We are willing to try this place again!”

“tell me why these are the nicest workers EVER. i mobile ordered about 15 minutes before i arrived to the store because my normal location normally takes at least 20 mins for my order to be ready. i accidentally clicked the “im here” button before i was there. as i was pulling in, i get a call from the workers asking if i was still coming, and she confirmed the location with me, and then offered to remake my food because it had been “sitting” for a while (less than 10 mins)! i said no worries you don’t have to remake it— the food was still perfectly hot and delicious. the whole team was incredibly kind. we went in and also placed another order in the store and they were attentive, fast, and sweet. overall the best experience ive ever had a a culver’s!
