It scores high marks for everything that is relevant to a bar in Eau Claire.The bar is staffed with pleasant people who contribute nicely to the attractive atmosphere both inside and outside. If you prefer the latter, you will be pleased to find an outside bar section with games to play and that also serves as a designated smoking area.The bar is nearly perfect so be sure to thank the owner when you see her there“
“Great local bar food. The Packer Backer (2 brat patties with kraut and cheese) is my favorite, the "kid" (21) loves the Black and Blue burger, and my wife loves the pesto grilled cheese. Honestly there are very few places where we all love at least one item on the menu. The waffle fries are always perfectly done, nice and crispy. Though they could time down the amount of salt they use on them just a little bit.“
“Dropped my car keys in front of Mogie’s on my way to another establishment. After about two hours I went to my car and realized I didn’t have my keys:-) Lo and behold I see a sign on my window telling me Mogie’s had them. Thanks to the honest and smart staff there!“
“Eau Claire's longest continuously running bar, or something like that. Scant bar seating, I believe 7 stools, but charming as hell booths as well as some tables.The Rachel was the best one ever, and the seasoned wedges nothing short of great. I wasn't planning on coming back but that might change that!The beer selection is very different - more than one or two German beers! In the 90's that would have excited me, but I have devolved into a hardcore IPA person. 5 bucks for a beer I really like is ok sometimes, but not a Moon Man. I know where to get Furious or Two Hearted for the same and even cheaper, especially at happy hour.All in all a bit disappointed in the beer selection, and the prices (although I may have to get used to that one) for a neighborhood bar. And not a fan of TVs on with the volume. But seemingly friendly and charming, and you can't beat history!“
“The bartender hates the customers if they ask for anything other than rail drinks or beers. But honestly, that is part of the charm. I've been coming here for 20+ years & she's always been there. & her consistency is excellent. The drinks are reasonably priced & tasty.This is definitely a townie bar. If you like that vibe you will 100% enjoy your time here.“
“Moved here from AZ and thought that was going to be the last of having great authentic Mexican cuisine; I was wrong. Azul Tequila made me feel like I was back in AZ. Food was prepared very quickly, our server was great and the atmosphere was perfect. My family and I will definitely be returning back.“
“Very cool restaurant and bar! Great server and bartenders! Fish fry was amazing. Wings and tots very good. Mojitos delicious. Greeter/hostess could be a little more flexible on larger groups and relax a bit but overall great place. We will definitely be back.“
