“Nice atmosphere. Convenient location. I wanted to like this place since we were staying in the hotel but the house made "craft" drinks are not that good. Actually all 3 of the drinks I tried we extremely sour. The 3rd, which I ordered instead of wine because the wine was $15 for a glass, was supposed to be rum punch. It is nothing like rum punch. It's so so very sour. Who is coming up with the drinks there- do they have taste buds? Very disappointing.“
“Great 1/2 pound burgers and fries, I've eaten on site several times and have always had great service and the food is always fresh and properly cooked. They get their hamburger fresh daily from a local butcher shop and I would put their French fries up against any in town. While I understand the need to have food delivered during COVID-19 I think it's unfair to judge anyplace when they hand off delivery to a service. The additional time will impact the temperature, texture and Quantity. I carried out many times from all my local favorites during the lockdown and found all suffered some from their normal quality by the time I got the food home. Now that I'm back live, the quality is as good or better than before. So before passing judgment try them again.“
“What a cool place to stop and have a drink! This tavern has been in business for decades and is the definitive dive bar. I didn't get a chance to sample the food, but the bar is the center of attention. Our bartender was very friendly and talkative. An overall fun experience. Give it a try!“
“Visiting Eau Claire and found this place through word of mouth. We had the cauliflower crust pizza. Delicious!!!! It was the fewest carbs we digested here as the beer and the varieties were exceptional. All tastes are covered and the staff and patrons were helpful and efficient. Definitely coming back. Prices are reasonable as well.“

“Fantastic meals served here! Tortillas and homemade salsa to start, were great with lots of flavor. I had the steak tacos and a steak and sausage taco on corn tortillas , mex style and bowl of the cheese dip. Fantastic, fresh and authentic! My friend had a chili releno, beef chimi combo dinner and he loved it! Staff super friendly and restaurant was clean and welcoming. If I ever make it back to WI, I will be stopping here for a great meal and break from the road.“
“Great local bar food. The Packer Backer (2 brat patties with kraut and cheese) is my favorite, the "kid" (21) loves the Black and Blue burger, and my wife loves the pesto grilled cheese. Honestly there are very few places where we all love at least one item on the menu. The waffle fries are always perfectly done, nice and crispy. Though they could time down the amount of salt they use on them just a little bit.“
“This was formerly Chester's. The new owners did a great makeover. Clean modern feel. I've been here a couple of times for draught beer and cocktails. Great, friendly bar tenders. Pool. Darts. Clean, modern restrooms. Nicely priced.“
