I wish I knew her name. she was a fantastic bartender already, but then she really stepped up when I had a medical emergency and she was quick to help out my husband and friend with helping them out and contacting the paramedics for me. please pass along to her that I truly appreciate her for the help. it really means alot to myself and my husband.“

“We've always had amazing visits to the Leinie Lodge! They have the best apparel variety and good brews on tap. We especially appreciate the Summer Kick Off every year. The Lodge is an absolute gem in the heart of Wisconsin and we always make a point to stop when we are in the area.“

“My husband and I both got smash burgers based on reviews. The burgers were both good but so small. Usually when we get burgers elsewhere, we each leave with half leftover because we are so full. We left here still hungry! Definitely worth upgrading to double smash burgers. $16 for a single smash burger is high considering you can get quite large double smash burgers at the district for the same price. The fries were not good. Very salty. And the chips had no flavor. But I will say I was pleasantly surprised when I got the bill and didn’t see an upcharge for adding lettuce, pickles, and mayo to my burger. Most places will penny pinch wherever they can so I really appreciated that these items were not an upcharge. I also love that they use fresh mushrooms and not canned! We are willing to try this place again!“

“We came into Hobbsy’s very late in the evening of 12/19 and Lucas the bartender very graciously made us delicious pizza and fries without making it seem like a chore. He was friendly and personable. Lucas was the star of our Friday night! 😊“

“Bartender, Amber, was amazing. She is so personable and makes you feel very welcomed. The atmosphere is a typical dive bar. It is a very small place. I did not eat this time but they do serve frozen pizza and a couple apps which are good. They have phenomenal happy hour specials and a free drink at 5pm daily. They also offer karaoke multiple nights a week.“

“The Joynt is the coolest bar on Water Street. It should be on the National Registry of Historic Places, too. I had the pleasure of meeting Odetta once when she was in Minneapolis promoting the Stillwater Jazz Festival and we talked about the Joynt, which she had played at a decade before.“

“You know it’s going to be a great meal when it’s tucked into the neighborhood. We stopped here on a road trip and were thoroughly pleased with our meal and service. The fried pickles stole the show, I’ve never had any battered in the fish batter and it really takes them to the next level. Prime rib was well seasoned and the creamy horseradish went great with it. Boyfriend said the cod bites were delicious. The staff was happy to serve us and cook our first meal of the day even though it was 730pm. Would love the chance to come back to this spot on our next trip. Thank you for your hospitality!“

“I stopped in here after I was finished cleaning and airbnb. I was by myself. I never go into a restaurant or a bar by myself. Unless I know someone in there. I knew absolutely nobody, but I was hungry. And it looked like a nice place. I ordered the hot beef and onion rings. There's a lot of things to look at in the bar it's a nice place. I like it a lot and I felt comfortable sitting there alone. The food was really good. I love love. Loved the onion rings. The bar tender was really nice, decent prices and a good atmosphere. I would definitely go back there alone or with friends“

“What a gem of a place. We were out bicycling and got hungry for some late lunch. Someone told us about this place. So very impressed with everything about it. Got to meet a super nice bartender (thanks Diane), who made us feel at home, made us the BEST frozen pizza that we have had a in a very long time. The place is so well taken care of, both inside and out.

I've had people buy our group drinks, cook make just one more sandwich, the people are fun, friendly and what you'd expect from Wisconsin small towns.“

“The bartender hates the customers if they ask for anything other than rail drinks or beers. But honestly, that is part of the charm. I've been coming here for 20+ years & she's always been there. & her consistency is excellent. The drinks are reasonably priced & tasty.This is definitely a townie bar. If you like that vibe you will 100% enjoy your time here.“

“Expectations were met, but they also were relatively limited. Drink prices were perhaps slightly higher than other bars nearby. There were plenty of bar games, including darts, pool, Ahole, video gambling, and bonus hole. Dogs are welcomed. Parking available on street or in the alley. Bartender was friendly.“
