“I was in Mondovi for the Buffalo County Fair and a friend's birthday weekend. We saw the White Pig Tavern advertised on a car at the derby and knew we needed to go here. Actually, my boyfriend knew people who knew people who worked here and we were told the Bloody Marys are a must, so that is why we went on a Sunday morning. The Bloody Marys did not disappoint. I had a Screwdriver made with plenty of vodka. Other things I noticed were cigarettes and candy for sale. Sweatshirts, too. Bring cash! I don't think they accept credit cards. Seating is limited. There are seats at the bar and several large tables. Otherwise, there is plenty of room to stand.“

“Hate to bash a local establishment but my drink was under-poured. I asked for a correction, but the bartender did not seem comfortable with that.Hope this place can correct course and compete with the other establishments in town. They have a nice setup. Give them a shot.“
“My husband is a steak snob andbhas eaten at some of the best steakhouses money can buy. We found this diamond in the rough one night. The bar owner raises his own beef, hand cuts each steak, not to mention he AGES them 45 DAYS!!! These steaks are $100 steaks anywhere else. Enjoy a strong old fashioned (or two) and a monster ribeye for less then $20 bucks, it's worth the drive.“
“Our experience with hide a while is with respect to the Friday fish fry. It is excellent! We have never been disappointed with the speed and freshness and taste of the fish and beer battered fries. Outstanding! Just what we were hoping to find.“
