“This place slaps! It's a cool and unique environment, and has tons of character which makes it stand out on Water Street. They have a signature drink called the Delusion, and each time you order one you get a ticket. Ten tickets earns you the coveted t-shirt. My husband and I are visiting EC with his brother and sister-in-law, and we naturally accepted this challenge. Between the four of us (plus a little help from a college buddy) we managed to drink our way to a t-shirt last night and now plan to pass it back and forth every time we get together like the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. Are we hungover? Yup. Was it worth it? You better believe it.“
“Stopped here on a road trip because I am a regular at a different bar called club 400 across the straight. Beef stick was great. Beer was cheap. Bartender was the man and they were handing out free beer coupons at 1 pm…my kind of place. Bought a hat. If I’m ever in Altoona again I won’t skip this place.“
“What a cool place to stop and have a drink! This tavern has been in business for decades and is the definitive dive bar. I didn't get a chance to sample the food, but the bar is the center of attention. Our bartender was very friendly and talkative. An overall fun experience. Give it a try!“
