China Wok is a restaurant that consistently serves good food, with a clean food prep area. While some dishes, like the crab Rangoon, are exceptional, there have been instances of overcooked or underseasoned meals, such as the Sweet and Sour, Kung Pao, Mongolian beef, and hot and spicy chicken. Despite occasional disappointments, many customers have had positive experiences and return for the hot and fresh food. Customers often enjoy the chicken and rice, finding the food very tasty and well made, with quick wait times. The orange chicken with white rice, beef and broccoli, and cheese wontons are highly recommended, with some saying the cheese wontons are among the best they've had. The restaurant is considered one of the best places to eat in Eau Claire, with many praising its quality and consistency. Recent reviews highlight the small seating area, suggesting take-out is preferred, but praise the food as amazing, especially the crab ragoons and general Tso. One customer noted that the sweet and sour was enjoyed even by someone who usually hates Chinese food. However, there was a disappointment when a child’s orange chicken was very spicy, which is not typical. Overall, China Wok aims to stay authentic and offers flavorful Chinese dishes, making it a good choice for those seeking satisfying meals.
