Valentine's special was sub standard and over priced for what we got. Baked potato under cooked, prime rib soaked in odd au jus , an inch of warm champagne was served at the end of meal in a plastic cup, the 2 desserts we requested to go they mushed together in one clam shell to go. Shared with the host our dissatisfaction. Was told he would take it up with his staff later.

Bad experience Valentine's Day poor slow service, disappointing salad bar, undercooked shrimp and baked potato. $ 42 prime rib was served on a cold plate with mystery ?au Jous ? 1/2" lake in plate. " Complementary glass of champagne " was flat warm and served in a plastic highball glass .

Went out to try something new. Andrea our server was great! The bartender was also lovely and assisted with a wine recommendation. Wine was a very generous pour as well! Food was sub par at best. I had the NY strip with 3 grilled shrimp. Was cooked the way I asked, but was also under seasoned and the mushrooms on it were obviously canned. (Yuck!) my shrimp were lovely! Friend I was with ordered the grilled walleye, you could tell it was a frozen filet and had tons of bones in it.Won’t be our first choice, but we may try again maybe when they’re busier in the summer and are going through more product.

The perfect way to ring in the New Year! We loved our experience on our way to our VRBO. The food was 10/10 amazing and the service and people were even better!

I don’t like to leave a bad review but boy do they need some help here. Waited over 20 minutes to be helped. Asked the 2 waitresses sitting rolling silverware if I could grab menus because we hadn’t been helped yet. They said sure. Never let anyone else know.A server came, she was nice. Said they didn’t know whose table it was. (I’ve served I understand) but to walk by 10+ times without a word or look is crazy. We got the wrong drink 2x, I got an Apple martini and it was terrible. The German platter food was good. Salad bar was very lack luster.

What a disappointment, the food was just not good and the salad bar was a joke. I would never go back. Beer cheese soup and au gratin potatoes made with the same sauce that tasted like cheese soup out of a can! Pretty sure the prime rib was from the day before…..

Where do I even start… worst food I’ve ever eaten. Went for the prime rib on Saturday night. First off, the salad bar was terrible! The iceberg lettuce was wilted and see-through. No toppings aside from onion, radish, bac-o-bits and cheap croutons. Dressings were commercially made and were either from a bottle or can- they were terrible. The “beer cheese soup” tasted of Cambell’s plain cheese soup and water. Didn’t even bother to try to doctor it up at all. The prime rib was actually cooked perfectly but was obviously left over from Friday night and didn’t even have one grain of salt or any seasoning whatsoever-completely tasteless. The au gratin potatoes were baked in the same cheese soup that I referenced previously-complete laziness. The staff was dressed in hoodies and athletic wear which also gave a sense of lack of caring. I can’t believe we paid over $100 plus tip for such a terrible meal. I am completely disappointed and will not return. Just hope we don’t get sick from the food. No wonder the place was virtually empty on a Saturday night. So sad.

I'M BARBARA WALTERS AND THIS IS 20/20." ~BARBARA WALTERS Barbara Walters would not likely give Wolt's Shoreview Supper Club a 20/20, but she would appreciate "The View". Wolt's sits along beautiful Pike Lake, taking advantage of the gorgeous scenery by allocating massive window space to its two spacious dining rooms. The interior is exactly what one imagines for a rural, lakeside supper club with wood overload, a brick fireplace, vinyl tablecloths, old people, and vintage snowshoes. A Velkommen sign greets you at the front door along with faux flowers. This is "instagrammable entryway" done Wisconsin backwoods style. Take a selfie with a fish mount! "And that's the way it is." ~Walter Cronkite Service is going to be friendly, but slowwww. That's just the way it is, so relax and enjoy a cocktail while you wait. "Be curious, not judgmental." ~ Walt Whitman I'm extremely curious about the salad bar...curious why the salad is always brown, slimy, and wilted. Skip the salad, but do Butch Cassidy all their amazing radishes and homemade soups into whatever receptacle you can scavenge! You'll make out like a bandit! "If you don't know who I am, then maybe your best course would be to tread lightly." - Walter White The best course at Wolter's is to order the jumbo coconut shrimp. Five stars!! This consistently fantastic entree boasts six shockingly huge shrimp that Heisenberg surely injected with steroids. "You can't just let nature run wild." ~ Walt Disney Instead you have it presented to you on a plate in the form of delicious prime rib. Forego the Friday night fish fry. The batter on the fish is extremely thick and over fried. "A Hot Fudge Sundae and a trashy novel is my idea of heaven." ~ Barbara Walters Complete your dinner with some delicious dessert, because it comes with all entrees. *Trashy novel not included. Overall Wolt's is a fine option for dinner in Amery for any chemistry teacher, legendary journalist, or poet, as long as you stick to the shrimp or the prime rib.

Food is very good. Went in on Valentine's Day or Mother's Day one of them had the prime rib. I thought it was very good. Not much fat. No gristle. Service is slow every time. That's a supper club vibe to let you hang and talk. Not in a hurry more like sitting around a table at home. But with that said staff is slow to come around refill drinks and so forth. Gone to eat there about 5 times. Holidays and non holidays. Ambiance is a resturant over looking a lake big windows nice views. They do have a bar in the back away from the restaurant. All wood really nice looking. They have a salad bar that's hit or miss. I'd add soup and dinner rolls to the salad bar. It's casual dinning. Definitely try it if in Amery at the lake or just passing through and write a review.

Went for supper, had a great time,,, wanted to leave a review... seen the mixed reviews. We eat at a lot of supper clubs, point blank was this the best we have ever been to? no and I am always cautions about reviews. Was it the worst? Far from it. Post covid and worker shortage has changed the service, places are short staffed its the new normal. Some of the reviewers need to get the concept of what a WI supper club is supposed to be, its not a Mc Donalds were the goal is to rush in and get a seat and get served, do yourself a favor, slow down, show up early, go to the bar, have a drink meet the bartender(s) talk with the people around you.... chill, take your drink to your table - then your not waiting, if it takes a bit - talk with the other humans at the table... chill.... Every super club is a bit different on how they do things. Wolters has better then average tables, they have a view, servers where great. They are busy working with limited staff. You get a salad bar, it is a smaller one, but what was there was adequate - nothing fancy but good.I have eaten prime from Ishnala to hole in the wall WI's grease joints. My prime was done to what I asked for, it had excellent flavor was bathed in flavorful juices, my wife's jumbo shrimp was some of the best she has ever had. My meat cut had a good fat cap, was tender and I left with some for another meal so it was big enough. From start to finish we had a positive experience - Lonn the bar tender, Tony the owner were great, fun to talk with at the bar, and staff was friendly. Prices have gone up - have you been to a grocery store lately? I cant speak to the comments about food temps, we had a solid good super. The place was fun and not up tight, a nice up north super club with a bit of a bar feel, they had live music with outdoor seating if you wanted. Yes it is seat yourself (think, tap tap on your forehead - get your drink at the bar... and expect a little wait before you get served) and omg you pay at the table, chill,,,, people its a laid back place...We will go back.

Went here for dinner. The service was...not great. We had to seat ourselves and it was about 15 minutes before we even saw A server let alone OUR server. She finally came over and gave us water and took the drink order. She was pretty friendly though at least.Took another 15 minutes to get two sodas and she took our food order. We both had the soup and salad bar which was mediocre at best. They were pretty much out of soup at 7:30. The lettuce was almost gone but enough for two of us. There were onion slices, cottage cheese, bacon bits, and croutons and that was it. I didn't have the dinner roll but my boyfriend said it was good. The food surprisingly didn't take too long. I had the prime rib. Was it good? Yes it was actually really tasty. Was it worth $40? No. While the flavor was good, it was a lot smaller and tougher than it should have been for that price. My boyfriend had the fish fry and he said that was really good and at $16 it was much more worth the price. The server brought boxes and the check pretty quickly but only because I flagged her down when she was helping someone else. She left the check and we waited for about 20 more minutes before we gave up and just put cash down and left.Overall we were pretty disappointed with the experience. The food was good but it was very overpriced and the service was definitely lacking.

This was our(my girlfriend and I) first time dining here, so we didn't know what to expect. Upon arival, it was "seat yourself" which was nice. Unfortunately, this was about the only highlight of the evening.Service was painfully slow, even though it was not busy for a Friday night at 7:00. We waited 15 minutes before ANYONE acknowledged us and brought us menues and took our drink order. After another 15 minutes of waiting for two diet sodas we were ready to leave. After deciding to stay, we finally got our drinks and ordered(prime rib special and the fish fry). We headed up for our single trip to the soup and salad bar, which was poorly stocked and there was basically a half kettle of warm broth for soup. Our food arrived warm and in a timely manner. I will note the menu prices are OUTRAGEOUS for what you get. "KING CUT" prime rib for $40, and it was at best a 16oz mediocre cut of meat with a tiny serving of microwaved mashed potatoes. The fish fry however was great at $16! Two GIANT pieces of fish and a baked potato. We finished our meals and our bill was left.I put my card in the holder and proceeded to wait for our server to come back and process it. Upon giving her 15 minutes, there was no sight of her(yes, you pay at your table). I pulled my card and left cash, begrudgingly leaving a generous 10% tip.We are a very understanding and friendly couple, and our limits were definitely tested. Unfortunately we will not be dining here again. Service was painstakingly slow, the menu prices are OUTRAGEOUS, and the overall experience was very disappointing. Unless you have an entire evening to waste and a deep wallet, enjoy yourself!

We had 8 there for dinner last night and had a good time. Our food and service was good but our Burgers Without a Bun were a little more well done than we like. We like the location and will be back.
