My parents were born in the Midwest. The food here gets 5 stars because of the memories of my childhood after each bit. The freshly made from scratch food, you can taste the love they have for their small town. Will it be a Michelin star restaurant, no. Is it authentic to the Midwest. Yes.

Traveling through Wisconsin and heard about this diner. Went in to have a piece of pie. The restaurant had a moderate number of people. One server. While she was friendly enough, she was not very efficient. She walked past our table at least four times without giving us a menu or asking what we wanted. I think she had a fit bit on and wanted to increase her steps. It was several minutes before she finally stopped by to take our order and we told her all we wanted was pie. She just wasted so much time walking back and forth it was kind of crazy. Once we placed the order all went well. Pie was good.

Definitely an old nostalgic place. Even the prices are nostalgic. Tucked away in old downtown Antigo WI.

Dietary restrictions: I just love the pork hocks and sauerkraut on Tuesdays. This is homemade food that you can't get anywhere else. But you can't beat the homemade pies and kolaches and cakes. I'll miss them.

Cool history, nice server. Food was absolutely middle of the road. So basic I forgot what the hell I even bought as a main breakfast plate. Asked for two eggs on the side scrambled, and it came out as literally a blob of two scrambled eggs splattered on a plate and slid down in front of me. Not bad, not good, just food. I was smiling while I was there, though, so I had a pleasant time. Just don't get yourself excited to go here, your expectations will instantly be too high.

The food was okay. Waitress was nice but the fact that their cook was okay with giving me a stale bagel and molding cream cheese was mind blowing. I wouldn’t eat here again. I spent $4 for a stale unappetizing bagel. Super disappointing
