This place was a wonderful experience with excellent authentic Greek food and I’m from Chicago. I highly recommend. It’s worth the trip.

We go here about 4-5 times per year. The food is absolutely some of the best in Appleton. I come here specifically for the flaming rack of Lamb but you just can't go wrong with a single thing on the menu.

Always wonderful courses, every time. I have never been disappointed. To me, it is my favorite place to order lamb as I know , it will be tasty and tender. An inviting atmosphere and quiet enough to have good conversations Plenty of time between courses , so you can take your time ... never rushed.
If they would add tiramisu or something Greek that is similar to their dessert menu, I would give it a 5+ !

Years ago (~2015): Food was underwhelming compared to the reviews online, I initially left thinking “maybe, not worth it.” But wrote off my experience due to other outside influences (personal time crunch, ect).
Fast forward to February 20, 2026: Walked in on a quiet evening ~5:30 PM. Dining room visibly over half-empty with plenty of open tables, think 1/3 of seating actually taken. Asked for a table for two.
Hostess: “Do you have a reservation?”
Me: “No, but there are lots of empty seats and online didn’t state reservations were required…”
Hostess: “Sorry, fully booked. Reservations only. Those are for later parties. We have one table for two coming up but we are awaiting their arrival.”
Turned away cold, despite the empty room.
We ended up at Katsu-Ya; they were incredibly welcoming serving fantastic food, amazing atmosphere and left after happily spending well over $100 for our date night.
I understand reservation policies, but rejecting walk-ins while staring at unoccupied tables feels arrogant—especially when the food was forgettable last time.
Never going back. If it’s amazing now, you’ll have to book months ahead of time based on their most recent reviews (and hope your table doesn’t get canceled on you per recent reviews). Not worth the hassle.

1/5 stars. One star for the empty tables that mocked us on the way out.

My fiancé made us a reservation online for 2/13 knowing it would be the last time we went out just us before our baby arrives. I’ve never been to Apollon yet but have heard from him that it is his favorite restaurant. We showed up for our 6pm reservation and were told by someone at the front they couldn’t find our name. She then asked if we booked online, to which we said yes. My fiancé confirmed he made the reservation over a week ago and even received a text confirmation the day before. She said she had to go get the manager because the online reservations should have been turned off. The manager proceeded to come out and with a smug face told us that she called 17 people who booked online letting them know their reservations had to be canceled. We asked when she would have called because my fiancé never misses his calls. She said 4 days prior she left a voicemail and we checked and let her know nothing was there. She said she wouldn’t be able to get us seated until 8:30pm that night. Which wasn’t going to work after driving 40 min to be there and the fact we were already very hungry. Shocked that there was no apology or offer to rebook us a different night and accommodate for something. Might be a great restaurant but poor management!

Made a Valentine’s Day reservation well in advance, only to have it canceled five days before the holiday. No alternative offered, no attempt to help, just a “sorry, good luck.” Canceling on Valentine’s week isn’t a small inconvenience it completely blows up plans when every decent restaurant is already booked. If you can’t honor reservations during the busiest dining week of the year, don’t take them in the first place.
Zero accountability, zero care for customers, and absolutely not a place I’d trust for anything important. Would not recommend.

I was told on February 9 at 3 PM that my reservation for Friday the 13th for Valentine’s Day will not be honored. It is extremely difficult to get another reservation somewhere else. The person I dealt with whose name is Kelly proceeded to hang up on me when I voiced my frustration. Terrible social skills. You should not treat customers like this. Very disappointing.
