One thing that didn't go so well was that we got the wrong order. It was our first time there so we didn't realize it, and honestly, the food took so long to come out, we forgot what burgers we ordered. So when they brought out our supposed order, my burger came with fries when I ordered a salad. I thought hey, maybe they forgot it and had fries instead. I didn't let the server know because she was busy and we were hungry, already waiting a long time for our food, and on a schedule. We needed to be somewhere and thought an hour and a half was sufficient time to eat, appearantly not. I would give this place another try, hoping that the food will come out sooner than later and that we don't get the wrong food order.”

“Madras Cafe is an absolute gem of a restaurant! The owner warmly greeted us when we came in. He asked if we had ever eaten there before and when we said no kindly explained the menu. He asked our preferences and made personal recommendations for each member of our group. The food was EXCEPTIONAL! I never write reviews but knew instantly I needed to share my experience. The foods were flavorful and the spices vibrant. I have to mention the coffee. If you are a coffee drinker, then you are about to be ruined for all other coffee. It was smooth and rich. Reminded me of French press but better. The prices are reasonable and fits into any budget. The owner explained how each dish was best eaten and shared a charming story about how his mother's cooking influenced the restaurant's menu. I have never felt so welcome and at home in a restaurant. I highly recommend.”

Just wish there was more space for privacy, floors are loud, finding the place is a bit hard, and kind of surprised only our waitress greeted us. We were the first to dine, so no one was in the restaurant at all. No bartender said anything and tons of wait staff walking past us.”

“Under new ownership. I ate there with my wife, and my son and his wife. The food and service are excellent, everyone at the table agreed. We all had different dinners, a lot of depth in the menu. The guacamole is absolutely great. I can’t wait to try their food with Margaritas as well, we had flavored tea in the interim. A lot of restaurants are noisy inside yet this was not the case here. Next time we will try eating outdoors.”

“OMG! Kitties. What more do you need? They show you to pick up the kittens, but not the adult cats. Yes they do have kittens. I do not know if they always keep some kittens for people to meet, or if they just happened to have some. If you are looking for adoptable kitties, this place has them. If you're just looking for some kitty time to brighten your day, they've got that too. Great experience.”

“We have been to GingerRootz in the past to dine in and have done take out 4+ times. Always good and have been happy! Tonight, my husband called in an order for my Birthday to take out 1-12-23. Everything was Awesome! Quality of food prepared and freshness was Outstanding! They did not skimp… nice portions, so flavorful with plentiful sauce, the Sushi Rolls were fantastic… so fresh and they were huge and stuffed full… you could taste each ingredient! The fresh Ginger was 10 times better than most! Highly recommend! Whoever took order, prepared order and boxed up… all should get a kudos! Chef and Sushi Chef two thumbs way up!👍😉”

“LOVE this restaurant. I wish it was there when I lived in the area 20 yrs ago. I still get there a few times a year. I really enjoy the blackened shrimp tacos. The service has always been wonderful and consistent. The manager stops by the table a QUICK check in. That small touch means so much!! Yesterday I had the lemon cake for dessert friend's had the gluten free chocolate cake. We were all in HEAVEN!! My second time there a couple years ago we had a server who was maybe having an off day. I talked to the manager on my way out & he was sincere & grateful I had let him know.”

food is the best we've had and Bobby is literally the best server I've ever had in my life. He made it right when the tiniest thing went wrong and it was our first time and he definitely made us long term customers! This restaurant could never afford to lose him compared to the less than ideal service others were getting from other servers. Manager was super helpful and comped an entree when there was a tiny thing wrong and not fault of their own. Absolutely amazing place and will go back tenfold.”

“I still recommend because it is a Hometown favorite and the atmosphere is cozy. My most recent visit, I had chicken fettuccine Alfredo with broccoli. Alfredo sauce had no flavor & noodles were under cooked. My husband got the French dip .. very good .. but we sure do miss the fries you used to have …the most amazing fries tasted like mashed potatoes in the middle! The fries now are super mediocre with seasoning salt. I do think the quality has gone down and the prices have gone up. I understand everybody’s prices are going up but it’s very unfortunate that the quality has declined. I drive by often and they’re always very busy so apparently they’re not affected by this yet. Wait staff is always great!”

I watched him flip tables quickly and he had a smile on his face the whole time. our waitress, Amber, was the best server I have had in a very long time. she was so friendly and attentive. the food was also delicious. 10/10!”
