“During covid the whole place got a little makeover, Gym Peerenboom handed it down to his son and daughter in law and they are slowly modernizing but not too much! Definitely still a dive bar! No credit card machine but an atm is available! No food but you can order butches or Marty's or whatever else and bring it in! Pot lucks during certain events and games. Very big on the Brewers! Happy hour all day every day!”

“I love pizza. I moved to Kimberly only 3 days ago, so trying Butch's was a no-brainer. Got the 12" hand-tossed chicken alfredo, add pineapple. I'm hard-pressed to find anything bad about it. Crust was insanely crispy and the toppings/sauce had so much flavor. The was a delicious pizza”

“This is the best Chinese food around. But when I order online, I will often give special instructions such as: no sauce please, please include chopsticks... Stuff like that. They almost NEVER follow the special instructions. I am not sure why they allow special instructions if they are never going to look at them. It's kind if aggravating.”

“The street corn tots were delicious! I would go back just for those. The burgers were good, but the beef did lack flavor. Our server was very attentive. She checked up on us often. One thing that didn't go so well was that we got the wrong order. It was our first time there so we didn't realize it, and honestly, the food took so long to come out, we forgot what burgers we ordered. So when they brought out our supposed order, my burger came with fries when I ordered a salad. I thought hey, maybe they forgot it and had fries instead. I didn't let the server know because she was busy and we were hungry, already waiting a long time for our food, and on a schedule. We needed to be somewhere and thought an hour and a half was sufficient time to eat, appearantly not. I would give this place another try, hoping that the food will come out sooner than later and that we don't get the wrong food order.”

“Amazing place! Me and my coworkers placed a mobile order yesterday, and I went to pick up the order. Not only was the order ready when I arrived, but after I placed a separate small order and dropped my coworkers order of Horchata on the ground the young ladies behind the counter offered to remake it with no charge. Thank you young ladies for helping save the day and thank you Frio for being a staple of our community! Well done!”

“Madras Cafe is an absolute gem of a restaurant! The owner warmly greeted us when we came in. He asked if we had ever eaten there before and when we said no kindly explained the menu. He asked our preferences and made personal recommendations for each member of our group. The food was EXCEPTIONAL! I never write reviews but knew instantly I needed to share my experience. The foods were flavorful and the spices vibrant. I have to mention the coffee. If you are a coffee drinker, then you are about to be ruined for all other coffee. It was smooth and rich. Reminded me of French press but better. The prices are reasonable and fits into any budget. The owner explained how each dish was best eaten and shared a charming story about how his mother's cooking influenced the restaurant's menu. I have never felt so welcome and at home in a restaurant. I highly recommend.”

“Always a tastebud’s delight. Their menu offers an excellent twist on comfort and classic foods with options for all food enthusiasts including vegetarian and vegan options. Their coffee is smooth and flavorful, their Bloody Mary is top notch, and their beer selection is pleasantly satisfying. Their staff are down to earth, friendly and attentive. Their restaurant is always welcoming and clean. Food is consistently amazing. I highly recommend.”

“After a log tiresome day at work, I decided to stop for a refreshing drink to get me and my two daughters through the long drive home.
I had the strawberry skin smoothie and it was what I didn’t even know I needed! I felt rejuvenated and at peace and alive again. It was packed with so many goodies for my entire body. Best of all it wasn’t too sweet and was so fresh tasting!
I will be back again for their matcha items on their menu soon!

“Not sure why this place isn't rated higher. The food here is the closest you'll get to a proper Korean BBQ restaurant north of Milwaukee. It has some proper Korean side dishes, all of the traditional and favorite cuts you're used to at a KBBQ. Their recent addition of sushi is also solid. No. I wouldn't go there explicitly for the sushi as there are better sushi joints in the area, but it compares very favorably to Akame and Sushi Lover, the other AYCE options in the valley. Molo, the only other competitor, is inferior in several ways, not the least of which is that every side dish in the place tastes like 9 lbs of sugar was dumped into it, and the ones that aren't are not made to order and are incredibly bland. The BBQ itself there is actually not bad, however, everything else that makes a KBBQ restaurant what it is does not exist there, and that is often the most important part. People who are not used to these types of restaurants: Order the lettuce leaves, the steamed white rice, and several sauces. You're supposed to take the meat, grill it, put it with rice, whatever other veggies/sauces you want, and then eat them as little hand rolls. Stop cooking completely unseasoned meat, shoving it in your mouth and then calling it bland. Obviously that will be bland, just like if you grilled a steak at home and splashed some soy sauce on it and wonder why it's bland.”
