Marty's Place offers a nice, quiet atmosphere with attentive service. The smoked prime rib is excellent, worth a visit, while the halibut was edible but not great. The salad bar is very good, and the bar service is excellent. The broiled scallops and tenderloin are delicious, but the soup and salad bar could be improved. The porterhouse melts in your mouth, the ribeye is very good, and the California veggies are tasty. The bar staff is friendly, and the waitresses are helpful. Overall, Marty's Place is a good choice for cocktails and entrees, despite some minor flaws.
