“First time ever experiencing this location - been to the Kimberly location multiple times. Wings were pretty good. Wings themselves were good, the BBQ sauce was very good, but the garlic parm sauce wasn't impressive. Service was welcoming enough & atmosphere was pretty awesome - very large/open compared to the Kimberly location(which not dissing on that one at all, that location is awesome-especially the outdoor during nice weather of course).“

“Came in for the Friday Fish Fry. Fantastic. Some of the best i’ve ever had. I had the tavern cod. The breading was light, and cooked perfectly. My mom had the baked haddock and loved it as well. Service was a bit slow at first, but it’s March Madness. The place was packed! Waitress was attentive when she came over. Great experience.“
“Hidden Gem. Once you find this place you will never want to go anywhere else again. The owner Amanda is such a sweet lady. They have Karaoke every Friday. Everyone who goes there for it is so supportive and kind. Plus almost everyone who sings karaoke there have amazing voices. Not sure why this hidden gem is not advertised more.“

“This was my first time at Game Day. I assumed it would be noisy, and the food so-so - but we wanted to see March Madness on the big screen. I was happily surprised to have an excellent hamburger and salad. And the large venue is designed in such a way that the noise was not overwhelming. Our waitress was great, and even helped us get the game we wanted to see up on a big screen. Overall, I was really impressed.Wheelchair accessibility: My husband uses a rollator and the access was really easy.“

“This bar isnt a place where I would usually go but I will say the customer service from the bartenders and staff definitely makes it a fun experience for all aged adults. Every bartender was slammed and they were still providing amazing service with a smile. Super social atmosphere and a ton of good vibes. Jordan and the Manager were amazing. “Stopped in on Friday evening, it wasn't busy but it was a decent crowd. Order a peach crown and lemonade. And it was light on Peach Crown. For dinner I ordered a 10pc Mango Habanero wings with ranch dressing and also a 3pc Haddock with rye bread, coleslaw and fries. Everything was prepared and tasted good.“
“I stopped into the Wooden Nickel Bar and Grill on College Avenue in downtown Appleton tonight for dinner. Been there many times and never have had a bad experience. Always had nothing but exceptional service from the staff especially the bartender Kristen and every time I am there the owner Tony makes it a point to stop by my chair and thank me for my business. I have had many burgers around the Valley and there are many good ones, but if you want the “Best of the Best” you need to stop in there and order the Double Play Combo. It is the best burger in Wisconsin 2nd to none.“
