Always a tastebud’s delight. Their menu offers an excellent twist on comfort and classic foods with options for all food enthusiasts including vegetarian and vegan options. Their coffee is smooth and flavorful, their Bloody Mary is top notch, and their beer selection is pleasantly satisfying. Their staff are down to earth, friendly and attentive. Their restaurant is always welcoming and clean. Food is consistently amazing. I highly recommend.

The creativity and love in the cooking and customer service is truly fantastic!

Food was good. Bartender guy seemed like a crab...just looked at us without saying anything when we walked in, didn't feel welcomed, but our waitress was excellent.

I came here for lunch after dropping my daughter off at Lawrence University a year ago. Coming back to visit my daughter, I had to return to Author’s and see whether it could live up to my initial experience. It is simply excellent. Chef’s kiss to everyone involved.

So we are on a roll to hit all the best restaurants in Appleton. Ahhh! I must admit that Authors kitchen is our absolute new favorite …wow just wow!

Thank you Jackie and staff for taking good care of us today during the lunch rush. You guys were all on your games! The best customer service and old-fashioned courtesies. Everything was extremely comfortable from the seating, temperature, lighting, tunes and vibes and of course …sensational eats! 

Our new faves include -
Halibut with lemon potato salad and arugula.

Old-school grilled cheese with tomato bisque soup made to perfection

Iced latte to wet the appetite

Couldn’t resist the dessert and went with the highly recommended lemon ricotta pancakes…. Omg!!! Off da charts!

My absolute favorite place. I love their food. The service is wonderful, and the atmosphere is fun and inviting. I recently went for lunch and our waitress recommended the special - avocado toast. And it was divine. She was spot on and the food continued to impress. I wish they were open for dinner, but I am grateful they are here and will enjoy Author's as often as I can.
