Bazils had a reputation of having one of the most legendary deep fryers, but our last trip there left us dissatisfied. The chicken tenders and beer battered French fries recipe were changed.

It's status as one of the best places for bar food took a huge hit and we'll likely be visiting a lot less.

Stopped at Bazil’s on our way to Green Bay. Ordered their hamburger and an order of tater tots. The food came out quickly. The burger was decent and appeared to be flame broiled. The tots were good also.

I’ve been a “regular” for a little over a year. Going there 3-5 times a week. Always have lunch and a couple of drinks. Tipped one of the bartenders $100 on a $13.00 tab.
Went in yesterday and was both ignored and treated like I was a bum/homeless person off of the streets.
I will never be back. The Wooden Nickel has better food so I will go there. And every time I go there the owner always comes over to me and thanks me for my business.
Too bad. Wasn’t a fan of Mark the previous owner, but to his credit he held his employees accountable to treat their customers appropriately.

It's an Appleton icon. Good place, good food, service was a little slow, but they were busy during Mile of Music. Even so, still a little slow and a little too costly for what we ordered.

Two sodas, and a glass of water was the order... got 2 6oz plastic cups of gun soda and a bottle of water for $8.00? C'mon, bottled water is a buck at the most, and two tiny cups of soda cost you maybe $.10 of product, and $.20 for the cups. Your cost = $1.30ish. Quit jacking up prices on busy weekends!

For comparison... went for lunch 3 days earlier, no Mile of Music, had a good Mushroom Swiss Burger, Sweet Potato Fries and a Dr. Pepper. Total bill= about $13. Got the water for free, and a whole can of Dr Pepper. See the difference?

Ordered a meal and $12 beer while sitting at the bar, when asked for a cup of water was told they are only offering bottles for purchase during mile of music. I understand there needs to be limits but this just felt gross. I am sure they have raised their drink prices by several dollars for the mile of music weekend (judging by the $12, 8 ounce beer), it was 90 degrees and there was no water station. I hope they reconsider this policy for next year and allow a complimentary glass of water, when requested, with a purchase.

Update June 2024 - My last two visits were disappointing. For some reason they're only using half of their taps. The bartenders have also been instructed to under pour, meaning if you order a 10oz pour of something, it's going to be more like 8oz. You will still pay for 10oz. The glass for their 10oz pour of their Blanton's Barrel Aged Imperial Stout is also under sized. All of this is a big bummer because this used to be one of my favorite places to go for good beer after the Breweries down the street close.

Some of the best bloody Mary's if had. Bar was busy, but the staff kept everything moving. Food was good. I just had wings. I will be back for sure.
