Chungs Sandwich Bar is permanently closed. We had heard many good things about it. Especially the Banh mi, but sadly it is closed for good.

Have you ever had a sandwich so good that it brought tears to your eyes? Chungs (LT International) just might have that sandwich. I haven't finished my sandwich but had to write this review while under its intoxicating spell. First the food stand is in tucked in the back of a little Asian market. It appears it might have changed names but they still have the Banh Mi I ordered the Chicken Teriyaki and a side of fries. One bite of this sandwich and I was overcome with emotion. It was like every happy moment in my life was crammed into one bite. I imagine this is the happiness that you get when you have your first child, it might even be better. (yes it really is that good). The chicken teriyaki combined with the pickled daikon, pickled carrots, cilantro, cucumber, jalapeí±o and mayo created the holy trinity of sandwich ingredients. This sandwich will take you on a spiritual journey of tastiness. The fries were decent as well but they were nothing special just normal crinkle cut ones. I mean it's very possible they were the best fries in the world and my tastebuds were still in shock from the sandwich that it didn't register they were the best fries in the world as well. If you want a life changing sandwich Chungs is the place to get it.

This is also a review for the general Market. Chung's: I ordered a pork bahn mi sandwich and thought the bread took up a lot of the flavor. I wouldn't get that again. I also bought a prepackaged item that was rolled sticky rice? stuffed with pork and some kind of veggies with a peanut-y, soy dipping sauce. It was simple and flavorful at the same time. Definitely try it! Lastly, I topped it off with a mango boba drink from a different stand. Too sugary for me but I knew that. Not a fan of overly sugared drinks...unless it's alcohol ;) The Market is a great place to shop for those items you don't find in the grocery store. It's clean and organized. There are also stands that sell ice cream, clothing, etc. Would love to go back and try out Yer's Kitchen and the ice cream stand.

After reading all the great reviews you'd think I went to the wrong restaurant; my experience was much different than the others. I ordered two bahn mi, the BBQ pork and bulgogi. Maybe it's because I chose to take mine home instead of eating them there, but my bread was cold, doughy, and dry. The bulgogi had enough sauce to make that one edible, but I threw away the second half of my BBQ pork because it was tasteless. Really disappointing as I was hoping to love this place. I may try the market place again, but will not be back to Chung's

This place is quite the hidden gem! In the very back of a strip mall... kinda weird but The sandwiches are AMAZING! Will be back!

This place is truly a hidden gem in Appleton, possibly the most inconspicuous location of all time. I had lunch here with a coworker and got the bulgogi beef Bahn mi and monster wings. The sandwich was great and would definitely recommend. I also enjoyed the wings. The monster sauce is similar to a teriyaki sauce and I don't typically go for that but had to because my guest doesn't like spicy food. Next time I would try something spicier.

Awesome little sandwich shop!! You will not be disappointed! This is now my number one stop for sandwiches. The bread is toasty and warm, and the sandwich filling is interesting, so fresh, and yummy! It is sort of like a fast food set up, order at the counter and they will bring it out to you. Also, the marketplace that it is inside of is pretty cool.

It's a hidden gem in Appleton. I would never know this place if it wasn't my Hmong friend who took me there. I think this is the best pho in town. Pho at other restaurants taste all the same, nothing special. But this one was really good! And there is an Asian market and some other stores for clothing. Definitely coming back!

Our table had the pho, the classic bahn mi, and the pulled pork bahn mi (they were out of the beef bulgogi, apparently their most popular item) and all three were superb! If you are a white person who likes spice, make sure you tell the person taking your order though, or they will accommodate a more Midwestern palate. The service was so friendly and good, but be prepared to wait a little for your food. Think Panera when it's busy rather than a typical fast food scenario. I have always been so grateful for the diversity that the Hmong community brings to the Fox Valley, and nowhere is it more relevant to me personally than at Long Cheng Marketplace and in this fantastic stand. We will be back many times!

Wow. My girlfriend and I wanted a quick bite for lunch so we stopped at this empty lot that held a little plaza/marketplace. What we didn't know is how good lunch would be. The Bahn MI's there are amazing. Toasted French bread, typical bahn mi topping (daikon, pickled veggies, etc)...I had the BBQ pork and my girlfriend had the bulgogi beef. We swapped halves and both meats were so delicious. They have a pho spot next to it and a bubble tea joint--it's like a mini food court inside the marketplace. Check this gem out! You won't be disappointed!

Sandwich is excellent. Service is terrible. They don't smile at customer or greet. They open at 10am and I came at 12pm but they were already out of what I wanted to order. It's happened 4 times. The owner of this stall is also the owner of the place "Long Cheng market". I don't know why they did not make more of what they ran out of. Maybe something happened 4 times. Sandwich are delicious and worth coming for, service not so much. I would probably come more often if the service wasn't bad and they weren't always running out of stuff. I hate coming there and then driving back home or work because they ran out at 12pm and "we won't be making anymore until tomorrow". I do love coming here, the food is good.
