They literally give you what it says on the menu, it really lacked in seasoning or flavor. It was good but basic.

Server cut me off after 4 mojitos because ‘respectfully, they’re a restaurant not a bar’, which was a first for me at any establishment. Unsure if that’d change if I was sitting at their BAR? Friend was also charged $6.50 for a side of sautéed onions. Their queso is the best but would not recommend for any occasion aside for a work lunch.

El Azteca is one of the only places I feel comfortable taking my young kids out to eat. It is spacious with large booths and the food is always quick and delicious. The servers are absolutely fantastic and so welcoming to children. They are always trying to make them smile and treat them like their own! This is the best family friendly restaurant in Appleton!

Great food, great atmosphere, great service! What more could you ask for!

Absolutely disgusting. I ordered the mocajete plate. I'm 50 years old and never tasted stripes of steak that disgusting. I had to throw the whole plate out because I was afraid I'd get sick. This is ordered 4p.m on a Saturday when they are bust. Absolute Garbage!

I was a regular there with my family and family members.
I come there or used to come there often. Never had an issue until today, 08/11/2024
One of the issues wasn't just the food, but you have a lady there with attitude issues.
She seemed very bothered and annoyed when I called and when I showed up to show the quality of the tacos I received.
You, as a food and service business, have expectations of quality and service. I understand you won't be perfect all the time, but it's never been an issue.
Today, Sunday 08/11/2024, around 6:38 pm
I ordered 9 tacos as take out.
All tacos I requested of corn tortilla. 3 of them Mexican Style the rest American Styles. As a regular when we've ordered them before, so I know your food well.
I got home and noticed some of the tacos were flour tortilla, no problem there. Then I opened the last one. I mean, you can look at the picture yourself and let me know if that's your quality.
I showed up around 7:20 pm. to return one order of tacos as soon as I walked in.
This lady says, "Are you here to complain or cause trouble?" Who talks like that to customers.
I asked for the manager, and she said she was the manager. I opened the container and showed her the tacos in the picture. I asked if that was your quality. She said that's how you make them. I told her I come there often, I have never had tacos like this, and when I requested them corn tortilla, it had never been an issue.
She said she would make me new ones, and I replied I'd rather take my refund on those. When she gave me the refund, I asked her if she wanted the food back.
She said she didn't want that garbage back (her words in Spanish, no quiero ese cochinero, llevate ese cochinero contigo).
I asked if there was a trash can, and she said, "Not here. Take that garbage with you (her words in Spanish, no ay aqui llevate ese cochinero) she proved my point right there.
So I walked out and dumped them in trash can in front of your establishment.

It's just sad to deal with people like that, especially at a restaurant.

The food was not authentic. You can tell a lot is Americanized. The restaurant smelled like sewerage when we walked in unfortunately.

The older male waiters were respectful & kind to my husband & I but our young male waiter made us very uncomfortable.

We both felt he was over friendly with myself & I don’t like men undermining my husbands authority & presence. It made for an extremely uncomfortable afternoon.

We won’t be back therefore.

Watch this Mexican Restaurant. DO NOT GO HERE!!! They do NOT deliver from what’s listed on their menu (melted cheese sauce) and argued with me. 2 for 1 margaritas on Tuesday’s and they were trying to charge me for the 2. I will never never go back again. I tried to talk to the owner and he walked away. Great person and leader NOT!!!

Red sauce on tamales and enchiladas tasted as if out of can.
