It is one of my favorite places in the valley to go for karaoke and drinks. The atmosphere is always so inviting. People are always having a great time and are so supportive. As someone who doesn't spend a great deal of time going to the bars downtown, Fat Sammy's is my new favorite.

I used to love going here once in a while for karaoke. But I started to notice the bartenders we’re not so kind to me. And then when I started to bring my friends and they were saying the same thing and even worse that they were not getting treated right by the bartenders I had to stop going and bringing my friends it was just embarrassing

Great place to drink! The drinks are cheap and good! The bartenders always have an amazing attitude and always got their customers backs when it comes to creepy guys <3 Will always be a frequent here!

As others have said, the staff of this place are awful. They're drunk trainwrecks and will instigate fights all night long.
When their employee (who I didn't even think was an employee at the time) told me I was cut off and I started drinking the drink I already had, he grabbed at me in the booth I was sitting in....
They literally tackled and dragged me out of their bar when I was trying to leave lol. I received all the police bodycam footage from that night and it's a group of us calm (but intoxicated, we were at a bar lmfao) and fat Sammy is outside screaming at us that we can't come back while we all stand around with the police like ?? why would we want to?
And then they tried to sue me.
If they respond to this I'll dig through my files and add the video of the owner being an absolute trainwreck ?

they don't allow backpacks, unless your a girl for some reason, and when your attacked by customers they get really angry and have you trespassed, first time there 100% don't recommend

Started out being my favorite place to go until Sammy kept skipping over me on the list to sing. I didn’t realize he was doing this until about 3 visits ago when I felt that something didn’t seem right when I wasn’t called knowing that I was like 2 singers away. I just chalked it up as being a bit buzzed. Then I started noticing it more and more and then last night I decided to take it upon myself to pay closer attention and I was right. I was so disappointed because he had seemed to always be such a cool dude. There’s other things that I started noticing about how some of the customers are being treated versus others. It’s a shame that they are running their establishment in such biased ways. With this all being said, I’m saddened that I no longer have any more interest in taking my business there. I had so much fun and made so many great memories, but the owners seem off when it comes to customer service, loyal customer appreciation and fairness.

Before diving in, I'd like to point out that about 90% of my reviews are positive. I don't leave negative reviews often. After dealing with funeral and end-of-life stuff all week, some family decided to go out for dinner and invited my husband and me. Being that my aunt isn't in WI a lot and that it's been a rough two weeks, we happily joined. We walked to Fat Sammy's to grab a drink after. The owner came up to our table to check IDs and one of our party members asked where the old quarter machine went. Instead of saying, "You might be remembering the establishment that was here before" the owner said, "We've never had a quarter machine. I've been here 10 years. Why are you yelling" with a thick tone of condescension. Now, our party member WAS a little loud, but she's a boisterous person and it's a bar on a Friday night. It was clear in her tone that she wasn't upset. Nonetheless, this was our first interaction. A little offputting but not a big deal, as the owner and bartenders were busy.Fast forward a few minutes when we have our drinks and sit. They have a TouchTunes machine and my husband queued up 4 songs, but the owner skipped, so he went up to ask for his money back. For background, my husband is legit a golden retriever. He's the most polite, non-confrontational person ever. The owner aggressively gives him $1 and goes, "Yeah. We're not doing that. Look around and read the room. People were instantly annoyed at your music." Mind you, the songs he queued are songs you'd hear daily on 94.7. So not super out of the ordinary. And she skipped the first one 20 seconds in, then the other 3 immediately after. There wasn't time for anyone to be annoyed. So I pulled up the app and showed her that songs are 2 credits, 8 credits cost $5, and she skipped 4 songs. She says, "I don't care. Besides, we're about to start karaoke." I say, "By the way, you're serving an entire table of people who have worked as servers and none of us would ever treat our customers the way you're treating people." She says, "Cool, are you leaving then?" I just walk away and she snidely says again, "Are you going to leave?"I go back to the table and tell them what happened, and we decide to finish our drinks (our first order, not even 10 minutes after walking in) and go somewhere else.A few minutes later she comes up to the table and says, "If you're going to have a meltdown you can leave." I say, "I'm literally just standing here." She goes, "And if you're going to have a meltdown, you can leave" and starts to walk away. So.... I call her the c-word. Not my best move, but I was ticked because I legitimately wasn't doing anything (nor was anyone else in the group), she was rude from the get-go, and it's been an emotional few weeks. We start grabbing our stuff and she goes to get her husband. My aunt tells him we're leaving and he goes, "Yeah, hurry up and get out." I flipped him off as we were leaving and he said, "Oh, poor entitled princess. You can eat one too, honey"After sharing our poor experiences, we had a bunch of friends and family chime in about their poor experiences. Some were just commenting on their general rudeness, but there were also comments about how they harass anyone who leaves them a bad review and that they stand up for people being inappropriate/creeps to other patrons because "they're good guys". So a customer tells you they don't feel safe in your establishment and you ignore them and essentially tell them to get over it, then ban them if they press the issue further. You call others entitled but are rude to people simply because you own the place and can be, then ban anyone who disagrees with you. What a great way to run a business.
