Unfortunately my first experience at the Hop Yard Ale Works could best be described as a "hot mess." The establishment places the responsibility on the customer to seat themselves and during our visit it was crazy busy. A group of 4 people had offered our group their table as they were about to depart, which resulted in terse exchange with another group that believed they had arrived earlier and were deserving of the table.Then we had the opportunity to wait in line to order drinks/pizza only to be told the waiting time for a pizza was an hour to an hour fifteen. Not a bid deal until you realize you're sitting on steel stools, so by about the 30-45 minute mark, glutes/back are screaming at you . On the upside, the beer and pizza were good, but definitely not worth the hassle factors associated with the Hop Yard Ale Works dining experience.

Looking for a spot to hang out and have some good beer? This place is it! They have their own brew and other great picks on tap. No liquor but they do have wine. They also have really good homage pizza made in a stone fire oven! Their patio is also a nice place to chill and enjoy beer or glass of wine.

Stopped at around 1 PM on Friday. Most tables occupied. We ordered 2 gluten free crust pizzas, Fancy Pants and Winner Winner. Perfect! Bathroom and overall area spotless. Bartender and waitstaff were prompt and kind. Only feedback to offer would be to utilize silverware versus plastic ware.

Hop Yard has been one of my favorites since moving to Appleton. Beer and pizza are awesome. They have a big variety of their own and local beers on tap. Be wary, seating does get scarce between 5-7 on Fridays and Saturdays. If you go on a Friday night I'd recommend going around 730 or later

Kudos to all that work so hard at this incredible restaurant bar. Every time we go we have a great experience. The happy Yard offers phenomenal handcrafted pizza out of a clay oven for the best savory taste. They also feature an incredible menu of sensational, beers and other tasty adult treats. They have plenty of seating and the overall ambience is warm and relaxing. Thanks to the staff that works so hard to keep everybody happy. This is one of our favorite restaurants in the Fox cities and we look forward to returning for a unique monthly pizza feature. Kudos to all.?gracias amigos!
