Wonderful lunch at Mark’s Eastside! Highly recommend the Bavarian Pretzel with beer cheese! So soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside. Amazing!! Also the French Dip and garlic mashed soooo good!
service, food, great staff,
We are a gluten-free bakery in Marquette, Michigan. I took a girls trip with a friend and came across this place on Find Me Gluten Free app. I'm telling you, this place is a dream for people like me with Celiac Disease. I cannot thank these people enough for giving me a safe place to eat AND fried pickles. I haven't had fried pickles in over in almost 4 years. I nearly cried when I could have a gluten free IPA. We will take special trips to appleton just to visit this place.
We go to Marks for every girls weekend. Everything is great. The bartenders, wait staff, food is top notch. I had steak and broiled haddock shared with a friend. Excellent. Wish we had one in our town so I could go more often.
Some of the best food and service in the Fox Valley. Their steaks rival top restaurants in LA and NY at a fraction of the cost. Marks is a must for great dining in the area!
If your looking to get prime rib, don't unless you want to over pay. They don't advertise it so had to ask. Got the king cut and looked the same size as the queen. Got the bill and was charged $47.50 for the king. Definitely not worth it
It's been about 10 years since I've been here. Hasn't changed. The same awesome food, awesome service, and awesome atmosphere. We had a large group - 10 - and the service was spot on!

They have an absolutely incredible menu. We were looking for a good, authentic Wisconsin supper club experience and this place delivered! We ordered walleye, wild rice and the best french onion soup I've ever tasted. All the food was exceptional.
Our server Lisa was the absolute best. Her genuine kindness and wonderful personality really made us feel welcome and comfortable, like we were having dinner in a friend's home.
I cannot say enough positive things about the food, atmosphere and service that we experienced here. Mark's East Side is on the itinerary as a must from now on, every time we come visit Appleton.

Second time eating AYCE fish fry...food superb. First time was on a Friday, midday so no wait. Tonight we arrived at 5:45 p.m. with party of 3. Told wait time would be 1-1.5 hrs. We are from out of state. While waiting near check in desk we witnessed several parties of 2-4 people come in after us, significantly later. The hostess greeted them by name, added them to the wait list...and then moved their names well above ours, seating them first. When I asked how much longer, she said there still 11 groups ahead of us. Two of the parties that arrived after us had 2 in each group; they were seated at different tables accomodating 4 people, leaving 2 chairs empty. Surely our party of 3 should have been seated first. The hostess controlling the wait list seemed to have a hard time remembering which numbers she'd called and crossing off the #s from her paper. Clearly being a "regular"/local gives you preferential treatment for seating. Big disappointment! Once seated, we quickly ordered 3 fish fry dinners (nothing complicated). Waited 30 minutes for food. Food was delicious. Service was just ok.

Abysmal. The food was terrible: broiled haddock was so overcooked it was like a dry chicken breast. Crab cakes were soup kitchen quality. No clue why this place is so popular, let alone still in business.

I no longer live in the area, but I was meeting somebody there. It had been at least 16 years since I had been to Mark's East Side. They did not disappoint!

Went for Friday fish. Very busy but never really had to wait in the bar for drinks or appetizers. Food was very good and reasonably priced. We'll be back! Most everything can be made gluten free...if you need that.
