Very busy and loud but excellent food and service. I recommend the skillets.

Great food, great staff, the converted fast food building was a bit cold but the value is amazing. The food quality is fantastic, the service was fast and friendly and the owner's father was doing table touches to greet the guests and check on everyone's experience. Really solid breakfast, I will return.

You best come here hungry! We had skillets and brought home half our breakfasts. Coffee was really good too.

Well to start service was horrible! What a way to make people wait for 15-20 min for any service and have to go up and complain to the hostess to get our server out! Not at all busy! Other people sat after and got a server right away. Then gets an attitude when we mentioned having to wait so long.
But the food was very good for the most part! Just very unhappy with the service we got today! But also finding out the hostess didn't tell our server he had a table.

Very light and bright atmosphere. The staff is very friendly, fast, and accommodating! The portions are impressive! The food was excellent quality and prepared exceptionally well and quickly. The menu is huge! It’s my first visit but I’m excited to taste much more of the menu!

This was my first time at Mateo’s Cafe. It was excellent! I read the reviews before making my decision and I agree with the previous reviews; large portions, delicious, and something for everyone. We arrived on a Sunday around 12. It wasn’t too busy and we ate within 15 minutes of ordering. Our waiter was extremely friendly and helpful. I ordered a Chicken Melt (YUM) with fries; 10/10. My sister had a Tuscan Panini with chicken and rice soup; (7/10). My mom ordered an omelette with potatoes, biscuits and gravy. (8/10). She ordered it with no green peppers, however, it came with them. Our server replaced it and added an extra order of biscuits and gravy! She also didn’t love that the cheese wasn’t cooked into the omelette, only the top. I would go back again, costing about $55 after the tip!

Best brunch spot in town! We’ve come regularly since the switch. Chicken wild rice soup is always wonderful. Always a short wait but worth it. Staff is friendly and amazing. Theres a reason it’s always busy and they deserve it!

We have been to Mateos a handful of times now and we have yet to be disappointed. the food is amazing, the portion sizes are huge and the service is always so friendly. I would give this place 10 ⭐️ if I could!

Staff and atmosphere are top notch! Large serving and great price, for sure. But actual food is very average. French dip was quite dry and tasteless. Chicken dumpling soup had a strange taste, but ok. Would I come here simply for serving size and great people though, absolutely. Just don’t expect amazing food.
