this place is legit
The food was great and reasonably priced. They have a large selection of vegan and vegetarian options. New favorite place, can’t wait to try more of their dishes!
Not often do I get to go have lunch on a Thursday. So of course, I had to try this out. They just opened about a week ago. They have Nepali and Indian food. Connected to the restaurant is a Nepali and Indian grocery store. How about that?! My husband and I had the lunch buffet today. It was very good. My favorites are the chicken tikka masala, chicken curry and chicken tandoori. I also tried some things I’ve never had before, the gulab jamun and the vegetable pakora. The gulab jamun is an Indian sweet treat of fried dough and soaked in a sweet sryup. Have you had it before? The vegetable pakora is like a fried vegetable fritter. It has that deep fried crunchy goodness. And one last thing was the Raita. It’s a yogurt side dish that is meant to cool down the palate from the spices of Indian food. I could probably eat this like a cold soup dish 😝 They do have a regular menu that you can order from too. Next time, I’m going to get the momos. They’re a Nepali dumpling appetizer. Very friendly service.
Delicious food. Service was very helpful suggesting and explaining the variety of dishes.

Nanglo Restaurant in Appleton is hands down one of the best places I’ve eaten at in a long time. The food is fresh, flavorful, and absolutely authentic. Their momos (dumplings) are a must-try—soft, juicy, and paired with an amazing dipping sauce. The thakali set was another standout, with perfectly cooked rice, lentils, and all the traditional Nepali sides.
The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the staff are super friendly and attentive. They take the time to explain the dishes if you’re unfamiliar, which I really appreciated. You can tell they put a lot of care into both the food and the experience.
If you’re looking for something different or just want a really good meal, Nanglo is the place to go. It’s the kind of spot that makes you want to come back again and again. Highly recommend it!

A must-try and my new favorite spot! The flavors here are absolutely outstanding. We ordered the Veg Momos and the Daal Bhat Tarkari set. Both were bursting with an incredible combination of flavors that felt almost magical.
Their attention to flavor and customer experience truly sets them apart. I’m already looking forward to my next visit. Don’t miss out—this place is a gem!

We're always on the look out for new curry places and this one did not disappoint. I ordered chicken palak and samosas. The way they do the potato samosas is flavorful and dense while staying soft inside. The chicken palak had a thicker consistency than I've seen at other places and it really worked for that dish. The chutneys (onion and mint) are also pretty good as well.
Vegetarian options: Specially has both vegetarian and vegan dishes labeled as well as gluten free options.
