East Calumet St (Darboy) Appleton WI missed my carryout order in advance for the 2nd time in a row. Ordered 2 hours in advance on the app. The guys seemed to have no clue about my order until a more senior guy got involved. At 15 minutes late I was told it would be 20-25 more minutes because they had to make the dough. Ugh. Date was 12/21/25 at 6:30 PM. Will be shopping around for alternatives.

Gave my pick up order away before I got there apparently and then to tell me its not ready and waited 25min to for them to say its not there someone gave it away while the counter person was gone when he was the only one there making boxes the whole time. Got a refound but lost my papa dollars now

I have been eating Papa John’s for my whole life and never in my life have received a raw pizza. The crust was burnt/cooked but the middle was raw dough when i bit in to it. I am very dissatisfied and disappointed by the service. I called the store and spoke with the “manager on duty” and he stated “I baked this pizza myself and there’s no way it is raw” and proceeded to tell me there was nothing he could do. I felt very disrespected by this so called manager. It is unfortunate to see this business make a mistake and not own up to it or do anything to make it better for the customer. I would like to add I purchased 2 pizzas and both were raw after scraping the tiny bit of cheese off. Pizza was mostly sauce.

I received my order and my pizza and breadstucks were cold. Was very unhappy with the food.. I had to call to see where my order was at 12:30a to find out they had no drivers and had to wait for door dash. I placed my order at 11:25p if it was to late I should have been informed. I always liked papa johns.

I placed an order for my son's birthday party online for take out, then read the reviews later that night for this location. Needless to say I was pretty nervous, but my order was correct, ready on time, and delicious!! Thank you!
We ordered online for delivery. After waiting over an hour it finally said out for delivery. So we waited. Finally called the store and they said it was for pick up. We paid a delivery fee and tipped a driver. Never ended up getting our pizza. They didn’t even offer to try to fix it.

Of course, this is a chain store but this particular one has bad service. Your pizzas are often late. One time, I went to get my pizzas and they told me I would it would be another hour so I had them cancel my order. The online order site asks you if you want to tip. I always say no since it's take out and I'm picking up. Sometimes I think that's a factor but at this point I don't give a rip because I'm not going back. Domino's is always on time and doesn't ask for a tip.

As a Human Resource Manager myself, I am deeply disturbed by the conduct and lack of leadership at your Calumet location. It has become abundantly clear that management there is not only turning a blind eye to toxic behavior but actively enabling it.
Allowing certain “favorite” employees to intimidate and threaten others with physical harm is absolutely unacceptable and in direct violation of any workplace safety or harassment policy. Even more alarming is the fact that this same employee appears to be making hiring and firing decisions—something that should never be delegated to anyone without proper authority, oversight, or HR involvement.
Upper management’s apparent refusal to intervene or hold anyone accountable has now cost you a dedicated, high-performing employee who felt they had no choice but to walk away from an unsafe and unfair environment. You know exactly who and what this is about.
As someone who works in HR, I assure you this will not be swept under the rug. I will personally assist this employee in exploring every avenue available to ensure that those responsible are held accountable—whether internally, legally, or through appropriate labor and regulatory channels.
This isn’t just a leadership failure. It’s a liability.

**Update months later ordered again and the pizza was severely under cooked bottom was soggy dough I’ll be switching to Pizza Hut for the remainder of my time in this area this papa John’s is the worst one you can order from. The way this happens btw is from them not cleaning the pans that are meant to have holes in it I’m sure there’s don’t anymore the oven is 400 degrees they just aren’t running a good operation** Ordered a pizza by accident for carry out called a minute later to cancel they lie and say it's already out of the oven and can't cancel. Well then your delivery times should be under an hour if that's the case..... It's two hours sometimes.... don’t even get me started on this pizza they delivered today idk who thinks you do this to a pepperoni pizza but what in the world were you thinking… then let’s talk about how the last 6 pizzas I got were just awful I mean just taste wrong I don’t know how this can be when they are made right they are my favorite pizza but what ever they are doing here right now is somehow making pizzas that are nearly inedible. If my family didn’t prefer their other offerings so much I’d never order from here again. Don’t order the pizza!!!!
