Came here once before and it was amazing.... so I decided to Drive the 2 hours again and take my parents... well it was extremely disappointing. Ordered the Meat Sweats over $100 and everything came out cold and extremely dry. my mother ordered the Carolina Sandwich and it came out cold as well with barely any coleslaw or sauce.. kids got chicken wings that where cold.

I ordered carry out from the Parker John's on Evergreen in Appleton to pick up on my way home from work this last Friday, January 16th. The online ordering was easy, I only had to wait about 2-3 minutes for the food to be brought out & everybody was very friendly that I interacted with. The food was amazing. However, when I got home, I realized the cheddar cheese I ordered with my smokehouse combo was missing. I thought maybe it was just missed from my order, but I was listed on my receipt, so it should've been there. It didn't ruin the meal or anything, but I did pay extra for it, so I was disappointed that it wasn't included. I've had this happen before, so I think a little more attention to detail would help make a big difference.

So we ate at Parker John's in Appleton for the very first time at that particularly New Location and it was an absolutely Awesome Experience from beginning to end, Let me tell you. From first Walking In to being seated absolutely immediately with absolutely no wait time. I had The Southwest Salad which I highly recommend if you want something light, But extremely filling. It is Served with a slice of Cornbread which actually compliments The Southwest Salad extremely Well. I've only ate The Menasha Location and it has been a few years so I wanted to try The Brand New Appleton Location. Our Server, Audrey, Was incredibly attentive to us, Too, Coming back to Our Table as Well as everyone else's several times asking if we needed anything at all and making sure that we were enjoying everything. Thank You, Parker John's Of Appleton! I'm absolutely thrilled with this New Location.

Pretty darn good AYCE fish. They don't skimp on fries, so you dasn't double up on them when choosing your two sides (Oh, I managed to down it all, don't you worry your pretty little head about that). Boxes are for quitters. At least, that's what I always say. Comes with cornbread regardless. Did the AYCE Wednesday Wings (38)... Not too shabby. Same thing with the Thursday AYCE ribs (21). They bring out the meat reloads without issue. Big and airy place, so it's quite comfortable. The staff is top-notch, too. Park 'er here, John...

We've been loyal customers of Parker Johns BBQ for years and have always enjoyed the experience at our usual location in Menasha. Unfortunately, our recent visit to the Appleton location fell well short of the standards we've come to expect from this franchise.

Service issues began immediately upon being seated. We waited approximately 5 minutes before anyone approached our table—no peanuts or water were provided as is typical at other locations. My mother had to retrieve peanuts herself. When our server finally arrived, we had to specifically request water. When drinks were delivered, only three of our four waters arrived.

Throughout the meal, our server provided minimal engagement—she never introduced herself, didn't inquire about the rewards program, and made limited eye contact. Check-ins were infrequent, consisting mainly of brief walk-bys.

The most disappointing moment came when we accidentally left our boxed leftovers and returned within minutes to retrieve them. We were told they had already been discarded. In our experience at restaurants, it's standard practice to hold forgotten items briefly in case guests return for them, especially when only moments have passed.

When I called to speak with a manager about our experience, she was apologetic and promised to send a gift card to make things right. However, we never received anything following that conversation, which added to our disappointment.

The food itself met the quality we expect from Parker Johns BBQ, which made the service lapses and unfulfilled promise all the more frustrating. We hope this was an off night, but based on this experience, we'll be returning to our original location where service has consistently matched the quality of the food.

Our server, Kris was awesome. So friendly and fun!! She had to wear many hats tonight and she wore them well.

Bartender was great for 10 min, then he left as it wasn't busy....acceptable. The replacement was (as we were told) the manager. He sat as far away as possible and just looked at his phone pretty much the entire time. If we wanted a beer it was a chore. 😞
Appleton was the 6th place in our experience on the crawl....
Also, did not eat here as we already ate at the GB location that day, nice there. So no rate on food for Appleton.
